I don't own a proper shower on my property so I strictly got a gym membership to take showers at. Their selection of workout equipment is great, their atmosphere is busy/quiet people are here for a reason and just want to work out without being bothered much. Most of the time you just get a head nod from the workoutees who are listening to music.
The showers are nice with two exceptions and they don't destroy the quality of the shower. 1. The flow rate of the water intake pipe for the shower isnt great enough as in their plumbing job is under done, so if someone flushes the toilet the flow is completely sapped causing the shower to change tempature (minorly) and over tome damaging the pipes with water hammer the owners need to seriously consider some upgraded plumbing in their future because with how much of a change in pressure the pipes go though they are going to have plumbing issues in the next uo and coming. 2. the shower caddies they have in are wobbly and broken, im glad they have them but instead of replacing a cheap wire caddy consider putting in a small well built shelf at a good highth it will last longer and won't look as tacky.
Other than that the showers are regularly hot, they are very clean, not in use all the time, and have some gorgous tile. Can definately suggest coming to here if you don't mind contracts for gyms and know you will use the facitlities. I get my use out of the place even if I don't use workout equipment often. One last thing for the owners, consider changing the prices of your drinks even at half price they are way to high. But I have a feeling it is a chain thing, but I will not be buying drinks at the establishment anyways as im there...
Read moreManagement is less than stellar. As a customer, don't ever have a disagreement with the manager because they will scrutinize your every move there after and conduct selective enforcement against you on their Planet Fitness's policies. It started with the manager telling me to get rid of my gallon water jug. I argued with her about it as I see other people at this location with it (and breaking among other rules), but I complied as it is the rules and I was in the wrong. Twenty minutes later, while working on the Smith's machine (close grip bench press "throw and catch"), I was approached by an employee who warned me that I was racking the weights too hard and will be asked to leave if this happens again. As I defended myself, he preceded to tell me how I'm basically already a trouble maker with the water jug thing earlier. So, I complied by doing a different exercise so I wouldn't rack too hard. As I was leaving from the gym, I complained to manager again as I felt I was being singled out all because I had an disagreement with her earlier. While talking to her, a couple of people slammed the weights so hard that even she turned her head, but didn't address those customers on being hard on the weights. My complaints fell on death ears as she doesn't care and believe is untouchable since she told me to talk to her regional representative, Richard, or complain to corporate. All other PFs I've been to have solid customer service, from both staff and management. However, this one, I'm not sure about the management part. The manager must be manager of the year as she seems untouchable and can discriminate on customers via selective...
Read moreI will never return to Planet Fitness. I had a membership with them for the last three years. With COVID, I decided that, although the gyms reopened, that I would not be using the gym and that paying without using the gym was a waste of money. They did offer to "freeze" my account, but that I would need to call ever single month to continue my freeze. Because I have no idea how long this will last, I opted to cancel my membership and re-enroll later when I felt comfortable to work out in public without a mask. Upon cancelling my membership, i was told by the manager of the branch that I would still need to pay my yearly fee after the membership was cancelled. To further explain, my first yearly fee was charged to me 2 months into my membership my first year and that same month for the following 2 years. I told her that I would not be paying the yearly fee because I had a membership for three years and have already paid 3 yearly fees. She insisted that the fee was already "pending" in my account - which it wasn't - and that she could not reverse the charge. Also, the charge did not end up coming out of my account until more than a week after I cancelled my membership. So, although I was planning on returning to Planet Fitness, because of this manager's refusal to not charge a fee after I cancelled my membership, I will not return to Planet Fitness and I will not recommend them to friends or family. This is such a disrespectful...
