University Village Colorado Shopping Center is at a great location on North Nevada just minutes from I-25. If you need to shop for home Lowes is a staple there will all your home improvement needs. My favorite restaurants and there. Tokyo Joes has fresh Sushi or stir fried bowls with meat and Vegetables. BJ's Brewery has an incredible mix of fresh local and international brews. I take my beer snob friends there. Hacienda has the freshest Mexican Food, Prawns wrapped in bacon, and Chicken Fajitas are a popular choice there , with fresh guacamole served fresh tableside. Noting Bunt Cakes is a family favorites as well having small Bunties to grab on the way to a social gathering or a large bunt cake for a birthday celebration. Pet's Mart is a quick stop to pick up your pets some food, kennel, toys or treat. Chipotle is a family favorite as well. You can have fresh food quickly. The Cowboy Star Restaurant is a special occasion restaurant is a unique dining experience. Their fresh Angus beef is incredible. Their seafood is so fresh. For a healthier choice Bone Fish is fantastic, fresh seafood / fish and vegetable choice tasty but heathy. You can get a haircut at the Locals Barber Shop your nails done at LV Nails or take on a relaxing massage at Massage Green Spa. I would recommend the University Village Colorado Shopping Center...
Read moreWhen UCCS started expanding its footprint and reorienting onto Nevada, locals were skeptical a higher end, continually busy shopping area could be created here. In hindsight, why not? Anyway, the views are better from the Hacienda Colorado upstairs, and Smashburger is a more happening place, especially when a concert is going outside. This is also a great access point for the Santa Fe Trail for walking, running, or biking. Park next to the Costco gas. Oh, and if you are driving by and want a freeway-near picnic spot, drive to the back between Kohl's and Costco. The signs call this a trailhead, but there is no way down the hill here--see above. But there is a picnic spot with incredible views that no one ever uses--and you can get your gas or pizza at Costco...or that missing sweatshirt for the change in Colorado...

My biggest gripe, is that people don't pay attention to stop signs or traffic patterns. The shopping center may need to consider investing in better signage because I've watched so many near accidents almost to happen and even pedestrians nearly get hit because somebody wasn't paying attention or they assumed because it wasn't clearly marked that they had right of way or no stop at all. Otherwise, it's a great...
