Auto Radio — Attraction in Columbia Township

I wish I could give this review 6 stars, because that's what it deserves. I just had Tom install a new stereo head unit that I got for Christmas, and he did it way cheaper than anywhere else in town, and went completely above and beyond in every way! He got me in for an appointment super quick, got the job done in only an hour (even faster than he had estimated), and was very thorough, testing the functions, configuring settings, installing the bluetooth mic, etc. And then what really blew me away, was that he also replaced the missing pull handle on my driver's door, without me even asking him to do it. That handle had been missing ever since I bought the car two years ago, and in that time I've taken it to several other good mechanics who I know and trust well. None of them have ever even offered to fix the handle, but Tom came up with a creative solution and did in just a few minutes! On top of all that, when I picked up the car he also offered to drill a screw into a piece of the trim that was hanging loose and about ready to fall off. And then at the end when I offered to pay for all of the extra services, he wouldn't even charge me anything more than his original quote for the stereo install! I can't recommend this shop enough. If you go anywhere else for car audio work, you'll be wasting your money. I'll definitely be going back myself for new speakers as soon as I can save...

A wonderfully genuine experience is how my wife and I would describe our 1st visit to Auto Radio. Was a pleasure meeting Tom and getting to hear stories learning of his knowledge and history of the business. He was very professional, courteous, and helpful. Even taking time to give us a bit of a tour to show us a few of his own audio excitables he knew I was sure to enjoy. (Btw, I might mention we had been running late and weren't gonna make it before closing, but he waited for us and still gave us non rushed, first-rate service) I will highly recommend Auto Radio to all my friends, family, and other serious audio enthusiasts alike. Can't wait til I can stop in again! If we didn't live a little over an hour away, I'm sure I'd have already stopped in at least a handful of times. Even if one or two were simply to say hey and talk a little audio with a great guy. Nice to know there's a place to go where making sure the customer is well-informed, receiving exactly what's needed, and above all happy, takes precedence over just trying to make another dollar. Will most definitely be stopping in again the next time I have the chance. Thanks again Tom! The box worked out great and I love the 6.5 coaxials that were actually an unforeseen purchase for that trip....

My mom in Columbia asked me to post this for her, since she doesn't have a Google account: "For the past several months I've had issues with my car radio. I finally bought a brand new radio but still had the issues. I was going to be taking a trip just a few days later and really wanted a working radio. I called Auto Radio and spoke to Tom the owner, and I was impressed from the get go. First of all, Tom was in the same place and doing the same thing for many, many years helping people with car radio issues. That told me I knew where to go and it was comforting to know that Tom had the years of experience. Second, when we talked over the phone, he seemed to know exactly what the problem was. When I took the car to him, he looked at it a little closer, and even though the problem was something different, he still could fix it. I got a ride back to work and he kept the car. The car was done when I was done with work, and the best thing was that I had a good working radio for my 4 hr trip. What was an added bonus was that Tom called me the next day to see how my trip went and how the radio performed!! This was going beyond the normal. My hat's off and 5 stars to you, Tom.
