Frankie's Fun Park — Attraction in Columbia

This place is not even worth the one star but in order to rate it has to have a star. Where to begin,...this is our first time here. Wanted to enjoy one more family outing before our eldest son ships off to bootcamp for the navy. We figured this place has it all! Price is a bit high but we did just go through a pandemic where companies lost a lot of revenue, understandable. We got there when they opened to beat the heat and the crowd. We first set off to play mini golf and was directed outside to pay, cool. We got there and it's closed. Alright they just opened give them a few moments longer to open. 5 minutes later I go inside and ask about some help for mini golf to be told we have to pay at the attractions booth where we just left! Go back and wait in an even longer line and finally pay for mini golf and added a few other attractions for the children, family of 5 $85. Get out clubs and balls and was not given the scorecard nor pencil thinking it was outside somewhere we continued (again our first time here). Another family comes out behind us and have everything. They confirmed they were given the scorecard and pencil with the balls and clubs🤦‍♀️ at this point I am livid for I had to wait in another long line just to get the pencil and scorecard wasting already 30 minutes of our day! Ask for a Manger to complain, we are short staff, you have two people just standing around?! And I have to wait in line 3 times for your employees' mistakes?! No apology no here $5 off on us, nothing!! We play mini golf and the holes are nearly the bloody same!!! We go and have a late lunch and spend $100 for 5 drinks, five fries (2 loaded), and 4 sandwiches!! Throated fries were horrible, it truly looked like slop, the burgers were bland and dry, and the regular fries were bland. Did not even bring us ketchup! Asked for one of the burgers to be plain with cheese and ketchup only, um do you want cheese on that,...did I not just say that?! When me daughter gets her burger it's bloody plain!! $10 for a burger and you would think it would be a decent burger or with fries not just a McDs cheeseburger. The fries alone $4 you get more fries from a small at McDs!! Amyone with teen boys knows they are like bottomless pits and will eat nearly anything!! Needless to say we threw away two loaded fries and three sandwiches.. never seen me boys throw away burgers and fries until now so that says a lot!! The tables and chair had food left on them, never wiped down. The loos,..horrible and dirty!! Do NOT waste your money nor time here!!! Go bowling or go to Charleston and find a fun park there!! Visited this place on 7/2/20. It wasn't very crowded at the time of our visit. Took my 11 yr. old son b/c there are outdoor activities that wouldn't involve us being in close contact w/ others. He was able to do the batting cages & desperately wanted to do the go karts. I watched to see if the go kart attendants were wiping down/disinfecting the karts after each person's use. The attendant for the slick track did not. We watched the attendants for the road course & they did spray down the karts after each use. So I reluctantly allowed him to get on. The other outdoor activities: bumper boats & the dropping ride, no disinfecting/wiping down was done. The young lady handing out the bats for the batting cage & golf clubs for putt putt golf, did wipe down the equipment upon return. There is hand sanitizer around the entire establishment. I did witness an employee wiping down arcade games. However, it was not frequent enough for me. I believe this was the same young lady who approached me toward the end of our visit & told me I had to put my mask on completely. I moved it to my chin area for a minute in order to breathe better because no one was near me in close proximity in either direction (more than 6 feet). I can appreciate the fact that they enforce/require face mask. However, she should have spoken with one of the employees whom she looked directly at after speaking with me who had her mask only covering her mouth & not her nose as well. There was a virtual reality game that a young lady did wipe down the goggles & laser gun w/ disinfecting wipes after each use so I allowed my son to experience this attraction as well.

I cannot comment on the food b/c we did not try anything. This place seems very cool/fun if you choose to experience everything. Only a couple attractions were closed due to COVID. Be aware that it is on the expensive side if you choose to participate in everything. There is no play card that you can purchase to play the games for a certain amount of time for a set price. It appeared that most arcade games run about $1.50 per game. Virtual games $8 & up; same for go karts. Batting cages $2 for 16 pitches. I also don't like the fact that they charge you 25cents for the reloadable card. I know it's only a quarter, but when you're spending that kind of money for rides/games at any establishment then you should not have to pay for such a thing. You don't have to keep paying 25cents to reload. It's just the principle of a business charging patrons for such a thing when they're spending money there anyway on food and...

They have a really cool set up for Go Karts. Novice, Experienced, and Drift tracks separately for your liking. Issue comes in when your staff just does not want to do their job they are paid to do! My son and I were in town from Ohio for the Trifecta Weekend for Spartan. There was 6 employees all sitting outside in the Pavillion area glued to their phones and not even running the GO Karts. An employee convinced myself and my son to spend money to ride the Drift track. We do, then we come back to the track to then tell us it's too wet and it's not opening at all. So that was a $200 hustle onto their swipe card you use to play games or do the attractions. So we go ride the Experianced trsck. While we were on that track, a group of 8 people walk up and say something to the employees. As we're riding they then proceeded to open the Drift Track! So we were lied to and they didn't want to just have to do their job on the Drift track for 2 paying customers and have to apply effort to fix a spun out GO Kart! So now, We get off the experienced track and go get on the Drift track. They pack 12 people onto this tiny little track which everyone just spins out on and my son and I can barely Drift since none of them knew how to do it. We do only 2 laps and make everyone exit and say it's too wet because they packed 12 people on a course and not run it in 4's as you're supposed to! The track was not even wet at all either! They lied because they didn't want to do their job and gave the complete impression they just wanted to get paid to play on a phone! Plus, ripped us off for our money with no refund on the Drift track since they pitted everyone without even 2 full laps! They have batting cages and putting putting golf as well. It's a knock off Dave and Busters and the only selling point was the GO Kart in the first place and we were forced to use $166 at that point on little kid games or take a complete loss on the $200!
