Read moreMy beautiful mixed girlfriend made it into the Belk store at the last minute to try to get a shirt for the Christmas party that we were to attend later this evening. She entered the store at 9:30, and the steady closing time was 10:00 p.m. . I was in the men's store making the last minute purchase as well (which is the story on to itself}, and after I did so it made my way over to the women's store at about 10 till 10:00,I got the car keys and walked outside of the car and thought everything would be fine. The next thing I hear from my girlfriend is her bawling on the other end of the phone saying that some gentlemen put his hands on her and snatched the shirt that she was holding up in front of her to gauge what size she needed. While I fully respect all the rules and regulations surrounding minimizing the transmission of covid-19, for Rex, the gentleman's name per his name tag, to act as if because my girlfriend was of Hispanic heritage that she must have had some untowards intentions by being in the store at the last minute and holding multiple garments in her hands. I'm sure Rex wouldn't understand what it feels like to have the employees constantly follow you around and act as if you've done something wrong just by being who you were born as. Unfortunately it seems as if the customer service in many places has gotten worse but a store that I grew up in with many fond memories of turning to this kind of small-minded low brow behavior is just a travesty. I hope Rex is happy with the hurt and pain that he caused my lovely beautiful girlfriend who wanted nothing more than to spend money in the store where he works to pay his salary. While it is the retail business it's also customer service and Rex must have forgotten who the most important person in that equation is.Hint* ...

She even apologized the behalf of the store my feelings was hurt and of course I was angry I had been placed on hold for 30 minutes but I did handle matters and a Godly fashion I didn't want to the lady on duty in that department today shouldn't be working there that is not how you represent a store your attitude will allow people to buy things that wasn't going to buy anything in the first place good customer service representation is what's needed in this day and time but Denise my hat is off to you you done what I would have done because I worked many years at Dillard's SouthPark Charlotte North Carolina which is where I'm from and I was good with my customers to the point they come in the store asking for me they didn't want nobody to help them good customer service sure is hard to...
Read moreI went in to return an Estee Lauder foundation I had purchased 12/21/2021 at the Columbia, SC location inside of Columbiana Mall. It's already a bother to return seeing how the woman at the makeup counter had matched me and I had told her multiple times my exact shade but yet they put the wrong shade in the bag and I didn't notice until I was getting ready to go out to my Christmas Eve dinner. Today I went to return it and was told they couldn't do a return because it was open but they literally processed a return for an elderly white woman in front of me so it felt like a slap in the face. Then she stated she could do the return with a receipt. They emailed me the receipt so I ask if she could pull it up. She said "No." and turn to walk away. Told me to look it up on my phone. I'm standing here with the Belk bag in my hand, plus the product, and the email asking me how was my shopping experience and you're telling me it's nothing you can do but you're running around making OPENED returns and helping every white woman in the store?! I just left the foundation on the counter and left. There is nothing I can do with it and I refuse to be the angry black woman yelling in a Belk filled with white women making me look like a liar. I spend way too much money in Belk to be treated like this over a $40-$50 foundation. Do...
