Seibels House & Garden — Attraction in Columbia

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Seibels House and it was a dream venue! If we could do it all over again I’d still pick Seibels House hands down! The historic home is basically a blank canvas to set up however you desire. The wood floors, big windows, high ceilings, fireplaces, sun room and bridal suite were all beautifully appointed and well maintained. The grounds and garden space, which host two fountains and benches throughout, are beautiful, well maintained without being over manicured and felt secluded all while being conveniently located in downtown Columbia. We had 98 guests and the space was a perfect size as we were able to use both the indoor and outdoor spaces. Daisha and Autumn were the rental coordinators we worked with throughout the planning process (from October- May) and they were both great! They were knowledgeable, kind, accommodating, straightforward and easy to work with. We felt the rental pricing was very fair considering the location, beauty of the home and garden and length of rental. The Seibels House will forever hold a special place...

I'm not even sure the gardens were officially open when I stopped by - they were doing a lot of weeding and upkeep when I walked through and no one really said anything and I stayed out of their way... It's a great small garden, nothing like Robert Mills or Hampton-Preston but nice for events and little surprising paths around the back. This is apparently Columbia's oldest building, which now houses the Historic Columbia admin offices and can be rented for special occasions. It's nice that they have a large crew to take care of it! My group decided to have a Bridgerton themed Tea Party in the garden and it was most exquisite; we had the best time! The venue was extremely easy to locate the beauty and the restoration of this building was in pristine condition and it hosts and it hosted almost a total of 90 guests. We had a wonderful time and Autumn is an excellent coordinator and Rahjana was an excellent assistant on-site! We will return to support this...
