The only reason for the two stars is the food, aside from my main dish that was a little bland everything else was amazing. The service however was the worst I have ever experienced. I made reservations for my boyfriends birthday (side note: my boyfriend is from India), I wanted to go somewhere we had never been. We were seated in an intimate booth, which was nice. An older couple (white) was seated about a minute or so after us right behind me. The waitress proceeded to immediately wait on them, all while ignoring us. We waited 10 minutes before she even came over to take our drink orders (all while checking on her other 2 top tables multiple times), without any introduction and very rudely (do you want anything other than water was the first thing she said to us). We then waited another 15 minutes before she came back to take our orders, we then had to ask for our bread because she apparently wasn't going to bring us any. Our appetizers arrived and were delicious (not delivered by the waitress). Another table was then seated next to us, it was a table of 3, none of which were white mind you. As we watched, they were experiencing the same poor service we were all while the waitress was constantly checking on her other tables and extremely friendly with them. (Their food arrived before the waitress even brought them their salads and bread). An hour after we arrived our food was finally served. By the time we had finished we had seen our waitress maybe 3 times while the tables around us had been visited at least 6 or 7. The manager never came over, my boyfriend had to call him over and complain about the blatantly racist server, he seemed more concerned with getting us out of the place as quietly as possible than correcting the problem. He discounted our bill and gave us a free dessert, because apparently that fixes it. I wish I could say that I will return because of the food but I have never been so upset with service in my life, I doubt we will...
Read moreI was looking forward to eating at Villa Tronco. We were early and the only ones in the dining room for most of our meal. The waitress was not as professional as you would expect from such a fine dining establishment. Her introduction was lame..."Hi, I'm _ and I'll be taking care of you.". I got that at Denny's the day before. I expected something more like. "Hi, my name is__. Welcome to Villa Tronco. Have you dined with us before?" Or ....We do have seven specials tonight....Anything but "I'll be taking care of you". The Italian egg rolls were really good. The fried mozzarella seemed a bit skimpy but was delicious. They only have one salad dressing and it was really tangy. The salad was lettuce, tomato and grated cheese. The food was ok. I was really expecting to have one of those "OMG. This is delicious". But it wasn't. The veal was very thin. The sauce was thin and lacking flavor. My husband ordered pizza and it had too much oregano. He puts salt on everything. All the tables but ours had salt and pepper on them. When he did get salt, nothing came out. He tried another one and the same thing. He opened the shaker and the salt was so wet it was just clumps. Upon bringing this to the servers attention, she told him (in a friendly manner) "I guess you're SOL on the salt". I asked my husband if I heard her right. I guess she didn't think about going to the kitchen and getting some salt. We were just about done when we heard a pounding noise which obviously was the kitchen pounding out meat. Each hit echoed through the whole place. Why are they doing this now? We had 4 to-go boxes and we weren't offered a bag untill we were walking out. One of us did get the chicken Villa Tronco and it was delicious. I would go back and order that. But the veal parmigiana was nothing to write home about. Out of the 5 of us, 2, of us, including myself, ordered the veal and we both felt...
Read moreWent here this evening because a friends cousin owns this restaurant. My friend bragged the pizza up, so we wanted to try. My wife and I ordered a large pizza and two salads and found we only had one choice on the dressings which set the rest of the night off. I ordered extra dressing and an ice tea. The salads came out reasonably fast, but they were tiny with lettuce and one cherry tomato cut in half on each salad. The waitress forgot the extra dressings and the iced tea so after I reminded her she went and got the dressing, but we didn’t need them because after four bites the salads were gone anyway. She then came back and apologied for our wait saying the cook burned our pizza and the manager told him to make us a new one. After another ten minutes the waitress brought our pizza out wearing mittens because she thought the tray was hot. But I touched the tray and it wasn’t even warm. The pizza was luke warm with hardly anything on it except a little sausage and cheese. It was also burned black on the bottom and hard as a rock. I think the cook did not make another pizza, I think he gave us the first one and did not remake it like he was told. We called it quits and we were charged eleven dollars for the two salads and we left a nine dollar tip. So it cost us twenty dollars to check this place out. Our night was Ruined and we just went home. It seems that an Italian Restaurant that’s been around so wrong wouldn’t forget the basics, and I think they have strayed from the original path by adding fine wines and fancy dishes and Opra nights. These things are all good but they need to keep focused on what got them to where they are and make sure everything is The best it can be. I also noticed others getting their meals which were small in proportions. We won’t be going back...
