If you need "light" Micro Soldering SmartPhone Medic on Gervais St., does EXCELLENT WORK. They repaired my BMW I Series Key Fob. Wish I know about them 1st before I tried to do my own soldering.

Fastest, reasonably priced, best service I've had for my phone in a long time. Ted was super helpful, funny and quick. Now I know where to get my phone fixed from now on!

I am eternally grateful to SmartPhone Medic for all that they did for me. The last pictures I took of my mother before she died were still on my phone, a Samsumg Galaxy S2, when it started "looping,"( i.e. it would get halfway through the start process and then shut down. I kept the battery out to prevent further damage.) I thought I was saving my data (contacts, photos, text info) correctly but Sim card was damaged; I thought it was all saved to Cloud but it was not), My carrier did what they could but brushed me aside to help customers buying phones. (By the way, I did buy a new Samsung Galaxy S7) but 90% of my contacts didn't transfer); nor did any of the photos).

The big box store repair center said that if it needed any kind of soldering, they couldn't help me, but could "reflash(?)" it after it was fixed. I later was told that "reflashing" would actually erase everything which is the opposite of what I was trying to do. If I had listened to them, I would have been lost. But the folks at this Smart Phone Medic went beyond the call of duty to help. The staff were almost like grief counselors when they listened to my story of the last pictures taken of my mother, and everything else I had already done to save my information that didn't work.

They repaired my phone and helped me to save the data. Because of their patient and experienced personnel, they recognized that the problem was in the "Start" button, and when they replaced that, the phone was accessible. If I hadn't already bought a new phone, I could have used that one again, but now my old phone works as a PDA. They discerned (which no one else did) that my Sim card was defective, so I replaced it for the new phone, but still they were able to save all my pictures onto a thumb drive. Only half of my contacts (much more than my carrier could do) could be downloaded onto my new phone, BUT, they are all still accessible on my old phone now so I can copy them onto paper, my new phone and my computer. The most important thing they did for me was to save my pictures, which, again, I thought I had been doing but what I was doing didn't work, in part due to the damaged Sim Card. I just cannot thank Smartphone Medic and it staff enough for how they helped me; No judgement for not being "tech-savvy" but they just had compassion and the desire and Know-how to help, and the patience to work the problem. And I think, are very reasonably priced. THANK YOU...

I've had my iPhone 6 since October 2014 and wasn't ready for a new phone. All of a sudden my battery started performing really badly - this could've been due to old age but also partly due to Apple's software updates. It seemed to go downhill really quickly though. My initial reaction was to jump on Apple's $30 battery replacement deal - so I drove to Charlotte on a day off work for my scheduled appointment with an Apple "genius" (an appointment at 5:45 PM on a Monday night). It took about 45 minutes for someone to see me after my scheduled time, only for them to come out and tell me they didn't have any of the batteries in stock and they would order me one. Umm... WHAT!? Why the hell did the person schedule me for an appointment when they didn't have what I needed, or even, why wasn't I notified prior so I didn't have to waste my time? Oh and the genius broke my phone case trying to take my phone out to test it... I wasted 5 hours of my day off, gas money and still had a useless phone. They told me it'd take a couple weeks for them to get the battery in stock and I could reschedule another appointment for them to do the replacement.

I decided to just go to SmartPhone Medic after seeing the reviews on Google. I have to say, this place is AWESOME. I took it in on my lunch hour and had it back 2 hours or so later and it's been working like a charm ever since for about 1 month now. It's like I have a brand new phone. If only I had gone here first. This will not be the last time I go to SmartPhone Medic and I'll certainly be recommending this place to anyone I know that has phone issues. Oh, and Apple JUST got the battery in stock as I was notified via email on February 12 - basically a month after I already got it fixed by SmartPhone Medic. I would've had to drive BACK to Charlotte thus the whole experience being 6 hours round trip. Screw that.... I regret not going to SmartPhone Medic first. LOVE this place. Great staff... friendly,...

The only smart phones I've ever owned have been iphones. I recently needed a new phone and was contemplating getting a Samsung Galaxy instead. I went to SmartPhone Medic to purchase one of their used phones in order to not get robbed by my carrier LOL! I was choosing between a Galaxy S6 Edge and an iphone 6. I was swayed towards the Galaxy because it had more memory that the iphone 6 they had in stock and that seemed to be a problem with my current iphone (15GB). Anyways, I went with the Galaxy and was a little nervous to learn an android. Jordan R. helped me every step of the way. She completely set up the new phone, transferred my contacts, texts, photos, etc. from my old iphone. She made suggestions for fun apps for the Galaxy, downloaded some we agreed I would enjoy and even emailed me links to a case and screen protector I could order as they didn't have one in stock I wanted to fit this phone. She set up preferences on the phone to make them the way I would want. She has been available for me via text and email with questions and never seems bothered by it. With all of the money I've spent with my carrier all of these years, I've never gotten that kind of service when purchasing a phone, even when I got my very first smart phone. They just kinda say here ya go, you'll figure it out. While that may be true, I was leaving the next morning after getting this phone for an out of town weekend and I needed to know how to use it!! SmartPhone Medic has done repairs for both me and my son previously on other phones from water damage to cracked screens and have done an excellent job. That's why I went there for this purchase and I'm so glad I did. I've grown to LOVE the new Galaxy I got and Jordan R. was a HUGE help to me. Thank you JORDAN R. and thank you...
