I called an order in, so that I could pick up after work. The guy took my order, and I asked him to repeat my order to ensure he had what I asked for. He got an attitude and said ma'am I have your order and I have to go. Give me your number, so that we won't cut up all this fish and you don't come pick it up. I told him my money is always good and that I didn't appreciate the fact that he is assuming I wasn't going to pick my order up. I asked again, can you please repeat my order, he said I have your order and I'm busy it's lunch time and I don't have time to repeat your order in a nasty tone. I told him, that he was rude and I am the customer and that scratch my order, because I will not be coming to purchase seafood from you any longer and will be going to Clifton's Seafood. I've never eaten there but I called on a Tuesday to reserve half a bushel of fresh oysters to celebrate my husband's birthday the following Saturday. The person on the phone said to "call back tomorrow." I called back the next day and requested to reserve the oysters and the person on the phone took my information and asked when I wanted to pick them up. I ordered oyster knives and bought everything to go along with the oysters prior to picking them up. I showed up at the agreed upon time and they didn't have them. The place was easily accessible and the owners were friendly. The have a very big variety and the tartar sauce is tasty. That's where the good ends. I came in today 7/15/25. At the time I was the ONLY customer. My food just wasn't good. It looked good but every single item was fried entirely too hard. We tried to FORCE ourselves to eat it to avoid wasting money but ultimately we just couldn't. The shrimp was fried so hard it was very chewy and rubbery. The coleslaw also wasn't good. It tasted sour. We spent $40+ for food we ended up throwing away. I'm very shocked that nothing was enjoyable based on the high reviews.
