Vacuums Etc. Irmo/Lake Murray — Attraction in Columbia

The best thing I can say is owner is very nice. Other than that I was disappointed in the services. I called ahead of time and was told $39 for my cordless vacuum. Upon arrival, owner apologized and said the guy who answered the phone should've asked if I had a Dyson because those were harder to clean and would be $69. Okay.... not what I was expecting, however I was already there. Then he gave me a receipt that said it would be ready by the following Monday. I called late Monday and a different guy answered and said it had not been done yet and it wasn't on his list of items to clean that day. I called back Tuesday and it still wasn't cleaned but was told I could pick it up Thursday (who can wait this long to vacuum their home anyways). I couldn't pick it up Thursday because I was going out of town that day for Labor Day weekend. I finally picked up the vacuum after my trip (he showed me how clean everything was) only to get home and discover once I disconnected the roller brush/power nozzle, that it had not been cleaned on the inside where it attaches to the long tube. Also, the bottom still had dirt fuzz balls in it that should've been cleaned out with something like a q-tip, in my opinion. I don't have time to take it back up there and wait a long time to get it back, so I will just clean that part myself. Pretty disappointed for a $75 total charge with taxes for cleaning. Fixed my beloved Baby Lock, AND they were super fast, AND they are very nice people!!! I thought my Baby Lock was dead. No way would I take it to Triangle City where I have been both overcharged AND treated like dirt. I thought I would give Vacuums-Etc in Irmo a try. I am so glad I did! Fixed in one day - probably won't always be the case, but at Triangle City it was a wait of 2 weeks last time it was serviced, and huge pressure to just buy another more expensive machine. 1 day!!! They even carried it out to my car. Lord knows Triangle City didn't even do that when I bought it from them. This is my new go-to business for my sewing machines and serger. Thank you to the guys (Carter and Ron) at Vacuums Etc. I took my vacuum in to the shop with what turned out to be a very "simple to fix" problem. Had I read the manual, I would have been able to solve the problem myself. However, I did not read the manual and they were very kind in showing my how to fix the issue and did not charge me anything for their time. This may seem like a simple matter but I appreciated the excellent customer service they provided and the professionalism they exhibited. I will definitely be using them for any future issues I have with my vacuum cleaners and would commend them for their kindness and...
