šššOh my sweet Heavens! What an absolutely incredible experience I had here today (10/30/25). I had a scheduled appointment this morning with this stores Geek Squad. When I first walked through their doors, I was greeted in such a friendly manner by a gentleman named Scooter. I then proceeded to the Geek Squad section where I was assisted by a most PHENOMENAL lady named Kris. Along with being very kind and welcoming (also has the most beautiful smile) she was quite knowledgeable and took the needed time to ensure that I was fully knowledgeable about the steps and process of my repair. To say that she EXEMPLIFIES what EVERY Co./Corp wishes to have in their employee would simply be an understatement. * I also especially took mental note that as busy as the Geek Squad was (and they are indeed BUSY), she never made me feel rushed nor ādiscountedā and treated me only as a valued consumer. She simply stated could be used as a measuring stick by which all employees are measured. When I returned later this afternoon to pick up my phone, I was again greeted in such a welcoming and friendly manner by the fabulous Scooter!!! His actions proved that he is consistent all day welcoming all of Best Buyās customers. (And what a wonderful way to enter an establishment š„°ā¦Certainly sets a positive tone) I again headed to the Geek Squad section where the very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable Anna went and retrieved my phone and had me sign the required final papers. This experience has left me with such positive thoughts and with the knowledge going forward that I will only shop/get repairs in this specific and particular location. Kudos to these 3 who truly went above and beyond in providing the very BEST š„customer service experience one could ever hope for!!! Thank yāall from the bottom of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've shopped at the Harbison Columbia, SC store for most of my life. It use to be great. Unfortunately, that is not the case any longer. Best Buy is on its way out and it shows horribly at this location.
I'm still a total tech support/geek squad premium subscriber despite my frustrations but that may soon change.
Three days ago Operations Manager Anthony Lipinski personally sold me on a refrigerator that is top of the line but on sale for Black Friday. It was more than I wanted to spend regardless of the sales price.
Too bad he set up a bogus delivery time from 8AM-12AM today. He assured me that although the paperwork said 7AM-1PM that he personally schedules the deliveries from this store and that he would make sure it was delivered in that window. The refrigerator never showed. I've been calling all morning and after two hours of 'run-around' I finally got someone on the phone in store. Anthony is not at work today. They were not able to give me a straight answer on the delivery and all but indicated that they don't even have the refrigerator in stock. My new deliver options are now next week.
Don't bother calling this store, they will not answer the telephone. I've waited in increments of 20 and 30 minutes with no results. As indicated above, after a couple of hours I finally got someone. It is extremely frustrating how difficult Best Buy makes it to talk to a human being. One part of me says that its more efficient for them to weed out quick calls through automation but in my case I'm trying to track down a $3000 refrigerator that I took the day off of work to have delivered.
I am very disappointed in this service and I hope that someone from a corporate level will step in and save this store. What they have going on now is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWho remembers Best Buy in the early 2000's? Oh man I can tell you about Best Buy in 2015(!!!) oh God, I never felt like I belonged. Going in there with 'others' who were assuredly more comfortably at ease in Consumer Paradise than myself - good gosh I kept having flashbacks to my first day at Private School in the first grade. Thank God times have changed. My last experience at the Best Buy in Lexington was righteous with a Salesman//Gamer giving me tips on just what to buy for the money to be hipper than any Disc Jockey in the southeast. AND just yesterday I hit the Best Buy here in Harbison, South Carolina and in less than 1 minute after walking in the showroom I was talking with an expert named Jason (you know who he is) in the Computer/Electronics Showroom showroom/center/back of this location and in less than 5 minutes (2) Experts (Jason and another cool person) knew exactly what I was looking for - a capital expense in myself - and knew exactly what my slant was and my desire AND my budget. In less than 10 minutes I was checked out by a beautiful person who treated me with the same respect anyone might receive (or should receive.) Now I don't know if going in there with my best buds; Essence & Tee had anything to do with me seemingly to have instant credibility but I don't like taking chances. And "Chances Are" (Johnny Mathis) I do not have to. The salesmen and sales women here are experts and most importantly are down-to-earth and at least here in Irmo (and most likely Lexington too) we all seem to be beyond that earlier point-in-time where some people are endowed with values deemed more valuable than, perhaps; others. No more. Thank you Jason and every single employee and manager at the Irmo Area Best Buy. Yeah, that's your best buy...
