Terrible customer service; didn't even get to eat!! Walked in on a Wednesday night and the place was dead. This should've been our first sign but we ignored it and thought we beat the rush since it was only 6pm. The hostess asked how many to which we replied 6, and I requested a booth. I was told that they only had small booths, as I stared at about 6 large empty booths along the back wall. It was my wife's birthday dinner after all, and she said it would be fine. This was strike 2. We were seated at a table in the middle if the dining area (2 adults and 4 kids with a high chair all in the way, another reason I wanted the booth) and our server greeted us and took our drink order. As she came back with the drinks I asked her if we could get the seafood bread for an appetizer. She looked puzzled and then said that they stopped serving that item. I saw it on the menu online but glancing over the laminated version at my table, it wasn't there. It's not the fact that they didn't have it that got to me, it's the fact that she told me that they stopped serving this item. How does a restaurant that's only been open for months stop serving an item AND have their menus changed to reflect that they no longer serve this? This was strike 3, among the others such as having no vegetables on the menu and extreme price gouging ($6 for 3 fish sticks on a kid's meal?!). I had enough, walked to find our server and pay for our drinks that we hadn't even been able to drink. I ran into the manager and another employee to which I explained the situations. She was informed also by the other employee that the appetizer that we ordered does show up online, but they don't have it in store, to which she simply acknowledged. AFTER all this, I was asked if I wanted to move to a booth now, and the only reason that I couldn't have one before was because they were in a section for another server and it was that server's "turn". YOU HAD 4 TABLES IN THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT!! At this point I was handed a bill for $13.63 for our drinks, to which I chuckled and put my card on the counter. Finally, the manager tells the other employee to not run my card for the drinks. That's when our server grabs my card, throws it in the counter, and says "GO"! Luckily I kept my cool and didn't make a scene. We ended up getting a very nice meal with exceptional service at Miyo's in Lexington for my wife's birthday dinner; somewhere that we frequent and know...
Read moreMost important matter, patrons stomach extremely upset from the food at this establishment. My friend ; & I have not had any food as of today, prior to what we ate here, last night. I ate here 3 yrs ago when they 1st opened. I had no issues ; & I haven't been since my 1st visit. I decided to go yesterday. When I arrived there were no customers, it was around 715pm.The server was slow, forgetting items such as straws, appetizers, & condiments. When our drinks arrived, I asked for straws. I was told, straws were in the bucket .I looked in the bucket, no straws. No big deal, when the server came bck,I asked for straws. I ended up having to ask the hostess to bring the straws. Appetizers: 6 steamed oysters/ 6 mozzarella sticks. Main course: 2 crab legs clusters, no seasoning w/ garlic butter. My friend ordered the catfish basket w/ sweet potato fries/ranch dressing. The cheese sticks arrived they were hot, but the cheese wasn't completely melted. The main course arrived, we still had not received our oysters. I asked the server ; & was told they were still being cooked. It was obvious she had forgot to place the order .The main courses arrvied w/ out the garlic butter, ranch dressing, or salt/pepper. We asked for condiments, while asking again where the oysters were. When the oysters were brought to the table, the condiments were still missing. The server came back bringing the condiments. The oysters weren't steamed, more on the raw side. No big deal I eat raw oysters. We ate the food , looking for the server to get the ticket. I went to wash my hands, came back no server. My friend went to wash their hands, came back no server. I had to get up, walk to the bar where there appeared to be management asking, for the server. It still took a while for the server to come out. None the less I still tipped $2 dollars shy of 20%. I won't...
Read moreWhat an atmosphere!! So fun and lively. I have NEVER seen a restaurant do their birthday desserts like Wild Crib does: --PY-RO-TECH-NICS-- ...you absolutely must bring a video recorder (on your phone or independent camera)!!! It's my understanding that you can choose the song you want the restaurant to play when they bring out your birthday dessert. The value is excellent! I usually get half and half [pound] "Lowcountry Boil" with potatoes and corn, choosing from things like black or green mussels, crawfish, crab legs, clams, etc. You can add as many 1/2 pound selections as you wish, with a minimum of two. There are also chicken wings, sausage, rice, etc, (in case someone in your party doesn't care for seafood). You can choose your seasonings for whichever boiled seafood you choose: Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter, or all of the above, named "Wild's Special". The only caveat is that have to be extremely clear if you don't want spicy food. Still, when they bring the wrong flavor by mistake, they quickly bring out the correct flavor without hesitation. To be honest, when I get carryout boiled seafood, I freeze the leftover liquid in the bottom of the bag to later add into the seafood I cook at home myself. That's pretty unbelievable. You get fresh, customized boiled or fried seafood at Wild Crab, yet you can feed a family of five for less than $100. I live on the SC coast, and it is unheard of to get that kind of value. Every seafood lover who travels I-26 through Columbia should stop at Exit 103 (Harbison) and have this very memorable and...
