If I could, I would not even give this Meijer a star! I have been to this location for 18 years. I am actually a loyal customer. However, they treated me UNFAIRLY and RUDELY. Yesterday, I went there to buy lettuce. I ran a restaurant and I need to use a lot, and there are plenty of them looking fresh. I got like 24 lettuces and I double checked if there were a sign for limited buying amount. I understand the pandemic and what it had done to us. THERE IS NO SIGN! Therefore, I went to check out. Then, the lady told me that I bought too many lettuces, maybe next time I should just buy 2. I said okay, of course. Then when she was helping me check out, another lady, seems like she is the manager, Joanne or Anna, came and said I could not get this many lettuces and she won't let me check out. I asked why. I said, I checked, as I said earlier, there was no limit sign. She won't explain anything to me, instead, she told me I could only buy two. When I asked about the limit sign, she said they didn't need to put any sign to tell the customers limit amount. They JUST HAVE THE RIGHT to not to sell that many things to customers. Then she called a guy name Jeff to get me out of the store. Jeff told me if I was not going to buy TWO lettuces today, then he wanted me to leave. If I don't leave, he would CALL THE POLICE! What I have done? Am I a thief? Did I do anything wrong? They kicked me out the store like I have made some big mistakes to them. I feel like I am the one who should call the police. I want an explanation! I need some help! I want to protect my RIGHT. Also, this makes me realize the importance of getting good employees for some big company like Meijer. These two people that I have talked with today are so rude and mean. However, I believe there are still a lot of good people out there. I will still go to this Meijer to shop, but I just want more...
Read moreMy review is purely for the pickup department. The rest of the store is great, and would receive 5 stars, but the pickup team and specifically the manager, Tina, are awful. Last time I was here, I waited over an hour for my groceries and watched many people come after me and leave before me. I called the store twice to see what was going on. Finally, after an hour and fifteen minutes of sitting here, Tina came out and asked what my problem was and went on about how it wasn’t their fault because someone else forgot to mark the order complete, so it had been sitting the whole time. I was mad, but dropped it because I have always had good experiences before and wasn’t going to let this one bad experience ruin it. I am currently here for my first pickup since this happened, been waiting for half an hour at this point, and now they say the order isn’t even ready. I understand mistakes have been made, but clearly this team just needs different management because Tina cannot hold them accountable or take ownership of their mistakes. She made me feel uncomfortable shopping there, and now I realize this issue isn’t going away. Unfortunately, I will just have to do my shopping elsewhere from now on. I will continue using the pharmacy, as they are great, just won’t be buying groceries...
Read moreI was SO IMPRESSED with Meijers on Hamilton Road! My daughters and I went there a few days ago. We went because my 8 y/o got Stitch (Disney) shoes for her birthday from her grandma... but they were too small. So our goal for going was to go to the service desk and ask if we could swap them out for a bigger size. Same shoes...Just bigger. I didn't have the receipt because it was at her grandma's house. Anyway! We got there too late, as the service center closed at 8pm. We got there at 8:30pm. The greeter was so nice! He informed me that they were closed at the service desk, so I asked him if I could keep the shoes I brought in with him so we could explore Meijers...and he said Yes, and he would guard them with his life! Anyway, Meijers is doing big things! I thought I was a Walmart type of girl....but I think I jumped ship to Meijers! I'm not gonna lie! I haven't been to a Meijers since the one used to be on Cleveland Avenue back in the day...across from Steak n. Shake on Cleveland and 161...which is gone too now btw....and I remember not being too impressed with Meijers back then...but they done came a long way! They had everything Walmart has (except for the crazies!). Everything was so organized! And clean! That's my new...
