I wish I could give no stars when it comes to the service and atmosphere. I have never experienced anything like what transpired today. From the moment that I walked into the restaurant, I was met with horrible energy and this disheartens me because this is my first time back in Columbus since 2021 and my bestie is a loyal customer, raving about the food the whole way there. The food exceeded expectations, however, ABBY's nasty attitude made this an extremely unsettling experience. I don't know if she was intimidated by 3 Black women walking into the establishment with great energy or what because she was more than kind to the elderly white couple who came behind us.
Moreover, my friend knows her on a first-name basis (yes, she visits the place that often) and said "Hi Abby," not once but twice, she was met with dead silence and no eye contact. As Abby prepared my bowl, she didn't even look up or inquire about the toppings that I wanted... the energy was just stale and unpleasant. I was even fearful that she would do something to my fries as she physically huffed and puffed and let out a huge huff as she went behind the counter to drop them.
If you all are hiring assistant managers like this I would think twice. Again, I came into your establishment happy and excited for the four-day holiday weekend, but I immediately had to pray when I got home because that is how abhorrently we were treated from the moment we walked in until we left.
The young Black man with the fro who came in (maybe from a lunch break) at the end did manage to at least make us feel slightly better as he bid us farewell kindly when we...
Read moreOne of my friends and I decided to try Agapé for lunch today - the first time for each of us. I had done a search for “Greek” restaurants near Gahanna, and this came up on the list. We’re so glad we came in! The staff was incredibly friendly, and they were very kind to answer all my questions. Kenny the Manager was super nice, and he was very appreciative of us stopping in for lunch. Abby, Aleks, and Vincent were just as nice as they could be, and they each gave us their own recommendations on what we should try. My friend and I each got a bowl. Mine was rice, lentils, all the veggies, falafel, and house dressing. Hers was the salad mix and rice, chicken, veggies, and house dressing. We each got one order of pita, but honestly we could have shared just one serving instead of getting two. They give you several pieces in each bag! My bowl was delicious, in fact it was the first time I’ve ever truly LOVED my falafel at any Mediterranean-style restaurant. It tasted so good. The variety of veggies, dips (I got hummus) and dressing choices (mine was the “house” garlic dressing) were all but perfect. Totally reminded me of a Greek style Bibibop restaurant. And since I love Greek food so much, Agapé definite takes first prize in my book! Thank you for such a great first experience, and I can’t wait to return again sometime! And thank you also for the baklava treats you gave me at the end!!! I’ll share one with my husband, since he wasn’t able to come with us today.

Read moreI don't enjoy negative reviews as most are not justified or valid. However there are times when a bad review can help others. This place seems popular as they are still around, so they are getting business. Perhaps my review will help you. I came in with my wife and we ordered a "to-go" order. I have never been here but she has. My first negative was battling with the guy serving, he was doing super small portions of everything. One would think when a customer says "can I have more" that would be your Que to make bigger helpings on toppings. The girl checking us out was very friendly and even gave me a free soda which was a plus. Thank you. When we got home I started digging in, I was disappointed at the small portions, and then with the flavor. The food tasted cold and bland. I ordered the gyro meat with plain rice mixed with onions, and other toppings. The rice needs to have spices in it like cinnamon or something. The meat tasted like plain store bought cheap stuff. The whole bowl just tasted bland and even with the tzatziki and oil it was bland. I ate it after putting it in the microwave which didn't do much for it. I am not a huge fan of Med food, but I know its somewhat good for you etc, and was hugely disappointed in Agape. I have tried their competitors who IMO are much better, food is more flavorful and warm. I do wish this business well but likely will not be going back as there are better Med...
