Genghis Grill — Restaurant in Columbus

I went to Genghi’s yesterday for the first time. A friend and I had planned to check it out but when we got to the door during peak lunch time it appeared closed- no one eating inside and no workers visible.

Turns out there is an eating area around the side that a few people were dining at. However this place has a reduced staff which I don’t love. They want you to order on a kiosk. Having never been here before the menu was quite confusing. They have 3 sizes of bowls- small medium and large but they also have an extensive (too many!) amount of options. They have something like a good deal section, then they have a variety of bowls that are Asian inspired, then an option to make your own bowl and then (oddly?) a variety of pasta/macaroni options. What type of cuisine is this place? I guess there is something for everyone. At any rate, having a worker greet you and walking you through the menu would be a big help and add some warmth to this place.

The place is very clean and a bit minimalistic. Including workers. I saw 2 men working the grill. Initially I wasn’t very impressed but when I no it the food I thought it was very good. My dining partner got the teriyaki chicken and I got the General Tso’s chicken with rice and they were both packed with flavor.

Prices were reasonable and I’d definitely return to...

First time trying via doordash. Got the potstickers and combo fried rice. Unfortunately... The fried rice is not edible at all. Has plenty of protein but... One order has i guarantee over a cup of dark soy sauce and being salt sensitive.... I can't eat more than one bite. Its literally burning my mouth. Sorry truth straight into the trash. Pulling out of trash to take a picture. It's sooo dark, from soy sauce. Just this with the dd fees, over $25 Very disappointed and..... Still hungry. Is it possible to order with a quarter of the soy sauce, like low sodium. If i want more soy.... Thanks for the packets. And..... Tried to just call the store. Not...

From the moment we walked in, the energy was fantastic welcoming staff, great ambiance, and the smell of sizzling goodness in the air. The food? Phenomenal.
