Smashburger — Restaurant in Columbus

The food is great the service not so much. I’ve ordered three times and twice I’ve been charged for something I didn’t receive. My first visit I ordered and was charged for one of their speciality drinks and was given a diet coke and they were not the same price. They offer curbside pick up on their website but then when you get there they act like they don’t have a clue they offer it.

I just left there for my third visit and when I got there I had to call because I never received a ready for pick up text. The lady that answered the phone was rude and short. She said they don’t do curbside because they have no space for people to park. It’s on high street, I would much rather sit in my car at the curb and wait as opposed to waiting inside and risking a ticket. I tried explaining to her that this was my third visit and the first two times the food was brought to me with no issue.

She cut me off and I heard her telling someone else without so much as an excuse me “here talk to this lady because she’s asking about curbside and I don’t have time” I then spoke with a male who said the order had been ready for over a half hr even though I never got a pick up text like usual. So the entire order was cold. He brought me my order just for it to be wrong again. I was charged an extra 3 bucks for onions and mushrooms on my wife’s burger and didn’t get them at all but was given other condiments that she didn’t request and ones she requested not be included.

I get it’s campus but come on they can do better with the service. I’ll be taking my chances with the Westerville location and I hope for the sake of me remaining a customer I get...

They need to fix their website. I ordered my burgers without tomatoes or pickles or sauce, and they had none of that removed. My girlfriend ended up not even touching her burger because of how much she dislikes sauce.

I checked my receipt, and my options didn't go through properly, which means the website is janked. Also, whoever put the onions on the burger needs a lesson on how to assemble burgers properly, because who just cuts a slice of onion and just plops all of that directly onto the burger, without separating the rings or tossing the core?

Aside from that, the seasoned fries were quite good, and I really enjoyed my strawberry shake. The burger was a bit ruined for me because of the error, but the patty itself was fine, if a little on the dry side. Would give it another go, but only in person so that I can exchange my food if it were incorrect again.

Edit: I requested a refund shortly after this experience and was told that I would receive an email with instructions on how to receive said refund. That email never came through. If I could give less than a star for the service portion of this...
