Well I'm here fixing my review I did have a glowing review for them until they started complaining about my husband being in a handicap wheelchair and being paraplegic complaining about the door slamming shut behind him but yet they have no door stoppers or no springs on the doors to stop the door it's not like he can wheel out the room hurry up and do a 360 and grab the door before it slams behind him then then on top of that because my service dog barked when people went by the door they forced us to go into a handicap accessible room and stated they only have one handicap accessible room in the whole hotel which is quite frankly ridiculous to force somebody to have to stay in a room that they don't want to stay in especially if they know that they're in a wheelchair but don't want to feel like they're in a wheelchair they want to feel like a normal person at least try to but yet we were forced and we have it all on camera they discriminated against him because of his disability and they told him you have to stay in a handicap room because you are disabled that is beyond me does derogatory discrimination I'm sure Ada would have a problem with this on top of my lawyer that I will be calling because that is ridiculous then told us that we had to just reserved that room we couldn't stay in no other room when we had been staying already in a king suite for a couple of weeks so I go to try to reserve the room after them telling us on recorded phone that that handicap room wouldn't be reserved out to nobody unless we were checking out or not staying anymore and turned around and posted it online and let somebody reserve it and when I try to reserve it it was taken so I went to the front desk and she said that she was going to call the lady and let her know and then let me know in the morning to go ahead and reserve the room but instead they lied and said oh well they need the handicap room so you guys are going to have to go mind you 20 minutes before 11:00 a.m. which is check out and they know I have two service dogs and a partially paralyzed husband who was just shot recently in a home invasion and in a wheelchair I cannot believe how we were treated we love that place but we didn't love the discrimination and we did not love the fact that out of nowhere after they discriminated against my husband because he couldn't catch the door behind him and constantly complained about that they then tried to lie and say we were smoking in the room called us in the middle of the night at 3 something in the morning and I had to get out of bed get dressed get my husband covered up put my dogs in the bathroom and go get the guy and bring them down to my room and let him walk in my room and then he wanted to apologize this is not how you treat your customers and to my acknowledgment you guys have detectors in the rooms which should detect who and which room it is anyways if there is someone smoking and he proceeded to say oh well someone said they smelled smoke when walking by your room so if someone said that I was going to jump off a bridge does that mean I'm going to jump off a bridge"no" I guess in today's society we're letting other people do our jobs for us and then looking stupid on top of an ant infestation in all the rooms and God forbid if you book your reservation through a third party you have to keep continuously paying a deposit like if I rented it for one night and had to stay another night or rented it for a couple days and had to stay another couple days they send you back your deposit and have you pay another one which is ridiculous because if someone's trip gets extended for an extra day or two and they have to make another reservation and they only stayed one night they're out of pocket $300 until they get both their refunds back that's ridiculous and we were told which is on record that that's how they cut down third-party sales because they're selling their rooms for way cheaper than what they are just sad. At breakfast me &guy were talking, she assumed it was bout her an yelled at me.Is it cuz...
Read moreWe check in, we find our bathroom is FILTHY. Dirt all over the floors, our do not disturb sign was on the floor covered in dirt, there is dust EVERYWHERE in a thick film. The comforters are disgusting. That night what turned out to be a broken pipe kept me up all night. Needless to say it was best that I was not the one who handled the complaints to staff because I was ready to loose it. I paid $163 for a FILTHY room. So we pull the comforters off the bed and toss them on the floor. Next day we let them know about the issues. They ask us if we want a different room. I have ZERO faith that the other rooms would be any cleaner. Plus, we have three kids. No. Another room is not the answer. A CLEAN ONE IS. So they promise us our room will be cleaned that day. We go back upstairs after breakfast to get ready to leave. the shower is FILTHY. Worse than the rest of the room. It's disgusting. OK, moms sucking it up but there's no way the kids are getting in that fest pool. So we leave, and tell them on the way out that the shower was dirty and needed cleaned so the CHILDREN could use it later. "are you sure you don't want another room?" they asked. Seriously. If housekeeping isn't cleaning our room that is visibly disgusting, they aren't cleaning any of the other either. I'm also not moving the kids to another room. How ridiculously inconvenient it would be to move the kids only to walk in and find the same standard of health hazard. So we return to the hotel and the kids are desperately needing a bath. We walk in to find... A MESS. The comforter, which I had tossed on the FLOOR and wrote a note demanding it not be put back on the bed because it was dirty (I mean, if being able to see that it was dirty was not enough, it was lying on the floor that was also visibly filthy, but that aside, was a floor.) had been placed back on the CHILDREN's bed. HOW DISGUSTING. Same spots and all, right on the children's bed. Where they sleep. We go in the bathroom, and the EXACT SAME DIRT is still on the floor in the exact same places it was when we left. The shower? Nasty. The dust? Still blocking us from seeing what color things really are. And a towel is missing. I told my husband to go reclaim that towel so we wouldn't be charged for it, and let them know that the bathroom had not been touched except to change the trashcan and hang up the nasty sign. And what do they tell him? "It was tripple checked, I know it was clean, a maid was in there for thirty minutes cleaning it special for you, do you want another room, it's just giving you nothing but trouble." The room is not the problem. THE MAID IS. The maid that probably spent a half hour watching TV, while getting the germs of the other uncleaned rooms all over our beds. Who knows. But I know, she wasn't cleaning. The only difference in the room I left and the room I returned to was that a towel was missing, the sign had been hung up, trash changed, and dirty comforter that they were told to leave off was back on the bed. My husband took a washcloth and easily wiped off the dirt that they claimed was "scrubbed really well" But do we have any of the disinfectant to use so our kids can take a bath? NO. Imagine how much fun it is being lied to when you spent $163 on something that is dirty. Would you spent $163 to sleep in dirty beds, and use a dirty shower? No, you wouldn't. I have pictures of the room after it was supposedly "cleaned" and clearly was not cleaned at all, I will happily forward. This has been the worst hotel experience I...
Read moreWe are seniors. This is very obvious by looking at us. When we arrived, Deb was talking to another customer, who was complaining. This was also obvious by Deb's end of the conversation & the way she was rolling her eyes & giving the Just one minute signal.
We were assigned Room 66, which couldn't be farther from the front entrance. It is at the extreme end of the hall & up the stairs. Deb told us that there was a door at the end of the hall that we could access with our room keys. Our son & grandson were with us when we checked & they carried our luggage up the stairs. We left & when we returned we tried the back door. It didn't work. We walked all the way around the hotel & told Deb that our keys did not work. She said that she would re-program the door. I asked when this would be done, since we were staying 3 nights. She said it would be done that evening.
The next day, we had the same problem. Again, walking all the way around the hotel. This time, Deb said that she had to order a part & the door would not be available for a few days. Again, we walked the long hall & the stairs to our room. Our room keys did not work. Back down the stairs & the long hall to the front desk. We told Deb our room keys didn't work. She said it was our fault because the keys were too close to our cell phone. Not true & now, we are angry. My husband told her so. She simple gave him a very dirty look & said with a monotone "Give me your key, Sir,& I will fix it. Never once did she apologize for the inconvenience or say she was sorry.
The next night, when we returned, we stopped & asked another employee to re-program our keys, so this wouldn't happen again.
Once we got to the room, it was fine. Housekeeping was great. We left a tip for the housekeeper & she actually left a thank you note. That is the first time that has happened.
The Hot Breakfast Buffet is not what it is advertised to be. The only hot items are scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy. On Tuesday, my husband was making a waffle & was having a problem with the machine. A breakfast attendant offered to help him. When the waffle was finished, he asked for syrup. She said they were out of syrup. Don't you think she should have mentioned this when she was helping him? There was also no coffee on Tuesday.
Deb's rudeness & lack of consideration would definitely keep us...
