HC Way — Restaurant in Columbus

I ordered HC Way’s incredible Orange Chicken with fried rice for my granddaughter while we waited for my sister to come out of her qu*ck chiropractor appointment next door (more on that in another review). We ordered takeout and this 11-year old who has no problem eating adult portions could not finish her food! She offered me a bite and let me tell you..Orange Chicken is not my favorite dish but this was amazing! The chicken pieces hot, tender, juicy, and still crispy under a spicy sweet sauce with just enough heat to know we were still eating orange chicken. It was served with broccoli which was still very green and crisp which paired nicely with the meat and sauce. The fried rice was not what I expected. It did not have much going on in regards to taste. It looked like steamed rice with a bit of egg and vegetables. The entree was so, so delicious I could have eaten it with plain steamed rice, but I’d get the free fried rice for the bit of extra protein and veggies.

Even though I looked rough (I was not expecting to get out of the car lol), I was greeted immediately with smiles. The service was great. Our food was already on the warmer, packed and ready to go, and the gentleman behind the counter placed it in my hands despite our cultural differences. It was a very pleasurable experience.

I am looking forward to trying more items...

This is one of the only Chinese Restaurants we will eat at. Have been there many times now. The cleanest Chinese Restaurant we have found in the area!! The food is always good and the staff is friendly! They are consistent and have fast service. Love the option to 'create your own' also. The only 'negative' I would say is that we just tried the lo mein and they went a little light on the sauce, but other than that I have no complaints! The egg rolls and crab rangoon app's are great! I was inspired to write a review after today's service- they messed up one of our dishes (wrong meat) for a take out order and we didn't realize it until we got home. I called to let them know and they actually made another one and delivered right to our house within 20 minutes! I was pleasantly surprised to receive this kind of service. They apologized -- and to top if off, threw in a handful of extra fortune cookies. Great customer...

I ordered the singapore rice noodles with shrimp and steak. There was absolutely no flavor except for the unnecessary spicyness of the "food". The noodles had the consistency of a plastic straw that had gone through the dishwasher multiple times. My face was stained yellow from the excessive amount of Ramen noodle flavor packets that were added for the sole purpose of giving the dish some color. There are few things I regret in my life more than spending my time and money at thos so called "bistro." To my everlasting shame, I ate almost half the meal because it cost so much. I will likely die soon, either from the amount of chemicals that were ingested or the overwhelming shame...
