Visited the Market Basket. It's the least expensive supermarket in town. It has a nick name of "Little Dirty" due to its very high volumes of shoppers, it's hard to keep the floors clean no matter the season. But the prices are right, the quality and freshness of what they sell is good, the deli staff are very helpful and fast. The big guy with 43 years of service on his red coat seems to be a store manager or owner, very pleasant, sweeping or tightening up displays, big easy smile and helpful. On these tough times, this store continues to hold the line on essentials. The drive through makes it tricky at start of work times. They need to repave the parking lot a piece is missing behind a parking lot as I was loading my groceries stepped into it and almost fell (I'm 75) so it's a big deal fortunately I was able to keep my balance 11/21/24 they need to rethink enterance/exit as you have to pay careful attention when comming/going into that parking lot. Read moreNot a bad place. One of the older locations in the city. But that’s what makes it nice, it seems to me, it’s more of the locals. Like Angelina’s you only went if you lived here. Plus, there’s everything you need with in about a two or maybe three miles.
Groceries, clothes, food, consignment Marshals, Burlington, and a few other smaller shops. I believe the shoe store is still the line Payless or something along those lines, I also think there’s even a tanning on ace but I really don’t I don’t tan…. So there’s that. Anyway if you go to this strip off Storr St you may just be surprised at what you find … or disappointed. But it worth going I am sure you will leave with a bag from one...
