A Memorable Escape Adventure at Red Door Escape Room
Our visit to Red Door Escape Room in Concord was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, 20 minutes before our scheduled reservation, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. They assisted us with the check-in process and waiver, ensuring a smooth and efficient start to our adventure.
The cleanliness of the facility was impressive, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. It was evident that Red Door Escape Room takes pride in maintaining a well-maintained and hygienic environment for their guests.
We were introduced to our game master, Lily, who instantly made us feel welcomed and excited for the experience ahead. Lily's warmth, friendliness, and enthusiasm were contagious. Her extensive knowledge of the game, "Once Upon a Time," added an extra layer of excitement as she explained the rules and objectives with clarity and patience.
As we embarked on our adventure, celebrating my wife's birthday with our family and friends, we were met with a perfect balance of fun, challenge, and excitement. The puzzles in the "Once Upon a Time" episode were cleverly crafted, requiring us to think creatively and work together as a team. Each solved puzzle brought us closer to the ultimate goal, creating a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
We cannot recommend Red Door Escape Room enough. The experience was not only enjoyable but also provided a unique opportunity for bonding and creating lasting memories. We are already looking forward to our next visit, and without a doubt, we would love to have Lily as our game master again. Her enthusiasm and knowledge truly elevated our experience to new heights.

Read moreWe had fun during our experience trying to escape from "Once Upon a Time", however there are definitely things that could have improved our experience. I tried to write the following without spoilers to escaping.
#1 - Inform players in advance if they need to crawl or get down on their hands and knees. #2 - The host, who showed us to the starting room, spoke way too fast and mumbled, so it was hard to understand him. #3 - We specifically requested they not give us clues during our escape, so we were not paying much attention to the monitors, but they gave us a few clues anyway. #4 - At the end, when our time ran out, the host walked us through what puzzles we still had not yet solved. He showed us that we would have had to push one of the "leave the room" buttons to open the last door. It seemed like those buttons were there for emergencies or for someone who needed to leave. It made no sense to expect us to know that we needed to use one as part of the escape. The host shared with us they would have put a clue on the screen to inform us of that, however, again, we were not paying attention to the screen, because of our request to not get clues. #5 - One room was dark, and it was hard to see things clearly in the very dim lighting, and we were lucky that my husband brought his phone with him. Having the phone for the flashlight was a huge help. I don't know what we would have done without it. #6 - There was a crappy old broken looking tablet with a stylus pen attached in the first room. We thought it was part of thee props to aid the escape. It would have been nice to know from the beginning that was for us to use throughout the escape to keep track of things. We found out at the end.
Maybe we just didn't have the best experience in this room. We'd be open to trying another escape with Red Door some time in the future - we will definitely ask more...
Read moreHad a really fun experience here. Planned it for a group of friends and we had a blast. The front team and our helper were great. My only complaint is that when you book ahead, it isnât convenient and the ability to get a refund doesnât exist. So I booked a room that could hold 12 but we only had 9 people and so I booked and paid the extra so that it could just be our group. But I was worried to book because our 9 th person was iffy because she had surgery recently and wasnât sure she would feel up to it. I decided to book anyway and stop delaying as I was afraid it would book up. She finally decided to bow out which was fine and I called and they let me switch to an eight person game. I expected a refund for the $40 additional I had paid since we switched games, but the worker was only allowed to give me a store credit. Her answer was simply, âThe policy is we donât do any refunds.â I am sorry, but that is ridiculous. They must be afraid of the merchant fee that comes from a return. Now I am stuck with $40 credit and a bad taste. I am not going to go an ask my friend who just had surgery to buy it off me as that would be rude and inconsiderate. We had another person cancel because of her twins having the flu and they gave me store credit for that which I thought was reasonable even though I didn't pay the $5 insurance. Their typical policy is have you pay $5 insurance you can cancel but you have to know you are going to be sick 24 hours in advance. And even then, I think you just get store credit ( I am not positive on that one, but that is what I recollect). How are you going to know you will be sick 24 hours in advance? It is frustrating because now that is money I am out for 2 people for the time being and it is just annoying enough where I wonât want to be the one the reserves for my group in the future. They need a better...
