We visited on 2/14/25 at 7:30pm for what was supposed to be a special Valentine’s Day dinner. Initially, things seemed fine—we were seated within 10 minutes, and the waiter promptly took our order. However, things quickly went downhill.

We ordered two Valentine’s specials, a kids' pizza, a Margherita pizza, fries, and two adult drinks. It took about 15 minutes for the waiter to return with drinks, and even then, one beer was missing, requiring us to remind him. When the Margherita pizza arrived, it was extremely soggy, with all the toppings sliding off as if it had been sitting in steam. My son even remarked that it tasted like a quesadilla.

While we waited for our four-course Valentine’s special, the waiter never returned to check on us or offer additional drinks. After a long wait, I finally flagged him down, only to be asked if we were ready for dessert—even though we hadn’t received our second course yet. He went to check with the kitchen and returned to tell us they were backed up. By this point, we were tired of waiting and extremely frustrated.

When the fourth course finally arrived around 9 PM, I was completely over it. I didn’t even receive utensils and decided to pack up and wait outside with my child while the others finished. To make matters worse, we never received the dessert or the complimentary champagne that was part of the special.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The service was slow and inattentive, the food quality was poor, and the $291 we spent felt completely unjustified. This dinner, meant to be a special...

We had an absolutely fantastic lunch experience at Doppio Zero! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, and their attentiveness—especially with the four children in our group—was beyond accommodating.

The food was the true highlight of the afternoon. Every dish was made with incredibly fresh ingredients, and the flavors were outstanding. We started with the Prosciutto and Burrata, and the prosciutto was simply delicious—perfectly salty and delicate. For pasta, we had the Fett Oxtail, which featured melt-in-your-mouth tender oxtail in a rich, flavorful sauce, and the Marechiaro, which had just the right amount of spice and depth. The Zuppa di Pesce was another standout—generous in portion and packed with fresh, delicious seafood.

One of the most impressive aspects of the meal was how accommodating the restaurant was to our kids. They happily made custom dishes like a creamy pesto pasta (not on the menu) and a spaghetti Bolognese, both of which were a hit. The kids’ cheese pizza was also a standout—it disappeared fast, so that says everything!

From the warm hospitality to the unforgettable food, Doppio Zero truly exceeded our expectations. Whether you’re looking for incredible fresh pasta, excellent seafood, or a family-friendly atmosphere, this is a place we’ll definitely be...

Doppio Zero in Concord offers an authentic Italian dining experience that truly impressed me from start to finish. We ordered the La Carne pizza along with other menu items, and everything arrived incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The crust on the pizza struck the perfect balance of crispy and airy, topped with high-quality ingredients that showcased the restaurant’s commitment to traditional Italian flavors.

Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and inviting — modern, yet cozy — making it suitable for date nights, family gatherings, or casual dinners with friends. They offer beer and wine, and I really enjoyed a chilled Peroni, which paired perfectly with the food.

Another plus is the free and ample parking, which makes dining here that much more convenient. The space is also accessible, making it easy for all guests to enjoy. Our total came out to around $140, and it felt worth every penny considering the quality, service, and overall experience. If you’re looking for a genuine Italian restaurant in the East Bay with excellent pizza and a great vibe, Doppio Zero is a must-try — I’ll definitely be returning soon! Just an...

Wow! I’m so glad I found this place and booked a spur of the moment reservation. I’m Italian and can say that this spot passes the vibe check. It was fun hearing the staff speak Italian in passing. We ordered a Burrata with prosciutto, truffle French fries, carrot ginger soup, squid ink pasta, lasagna, cannoli and a Hazelnut Tartufo. Every single thing was delicious. We devoured the burrata and the truffle fries, the carrot ginger soup was light, creamy, and warming on a cold night. My husband loved his lasagna and the squid ink pasta was the perfect level of spicy and everything in it was fresh. Everything served to us was hot and fresh, I could tell my pasta had just come out of the water. I almost cried when I tasted orange in the cannoli - something a lot of “Italian” bakeries fail to translate. The Hazelnut Tartufo was the stand out of the bunch. Imagine a Ferrari richer grew up and became ice cream. Absolutely stunning dessert. I can’t wait to come back and try the pizza! The drinks looked amazing too. Pro tip - be sure to snag a reservation if it’s weekend. Parking can be really iffy since this is in a super busy shopping center, so come early, or drop off your party at the door while one person parks the car.
