I love being here, the staff is awesome and it's always fun being there. And because there's no way to reply to reviews on here, the review made by Jaquayla Thomas, I was there the night her and her friends came to this theater, the employee that sold them the tickets did make a mistake by not carding them but the whole matter was in no way a racial problem, they were stopped by the officer because the manager told him to card them. None of them had an ID on them and claimed they left it in the car, yet when they came back to the lobby they claimed they had just walked all the way over here from Golden Corral (I don't know about you but I wouldn't park my car that far away from a pretty much empty lot). They asked about why the group they knew personally didn't get carded and got to go to their movie and that was because they didn't go to a R rated movie, they went to Suicide Squad which was PG-13. As her and her group was walking back to get their refunds they were making racist comments towards the officer, ticket guy, and Manager saying "you know why this is happening right. It's cause we're black isn't it?" Funiest thing about all that was the manager who did tell them to leave is black along with a good majority of the employees who work there. And what a great way to end the whole problem than her friend throwing "the bird" at them. Her review on this theater was both misleading and untrue, and I do hope that other customers don't believe someone who won't tell the whole truth about what happened. Yes they do require someone 21 years or older to buy tickets and watch the movie with kids 16 and under for R rated movies, that is FEDERAL LAW and it's not going to change unless the law does. getting mad at them for abiding by the law is unnecessary, they are simply doing their jobs. I do hope that anyone who reads this review visits this theater and enjoys their experience as...
Read moreSadly in order to write a comment I had to give this theater 1 star. They barely deserve half a star. The movie was great and all but that doesnât relate to the time it took to finally get in to see it. I went to see a movie last night with tickets already purchased. I walk into the theater and the genius at the front desk tells my boyfriend and I that we canât see the movie without ID, which neither of us were carrying because of other reasons. Both of us are of age to go see this Rated R movie, that was already paid for mind you, but the genius at the deck says to us while pointing, âI canât let you see that movie because if I donât see your IDâs up here theyâre gonna ask for them.â He pointed to the other geniuses scooping up popcorn and the dude checking tickets who WASN'T EVEN CHECKING BAGS IN THIS HIGH END ESTABLISHMENT. Iâm now beyond livid that I now have to go watch a horrific version of Finding Nemo. The Meg, all because this genius person they decided to hire couldnât figure out that we already bought these tickets and we should be good to go. He proceeded to take the tickets and give us tickets to this other movie. To add in to all of this this place is no fine establishment, meaning they shouldnât charge an arm and a leg to get a popcorn and a drink. Whoever is the manager here needs to get better employees at this place because youâre making the company look horrible. Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Seuss couldâve done...
Read moreWhen I got there, there was only ONE really old person doing tickets going VERY slow. But 3 other people were doing refreshments. Not til 15 minutes later did a customer (NOT even an employee) come up to me and say that you can buy the tickets at the refreshment stand too. So I go to a refreshment cashier where there was 1 person ahead of me. They didnt have money for the guy to give him change. Another 5 minutes. Then they paid him and the lady picked up the phone and started talking to another employee from another store regarding a price check. So instead of telling them hold on a minute, she takes the call and starts chit chattin while shes looking around for a price book. Then she goes in the back for another 3 minutes, then comes out laughing and then starts looking in the book for a price. "REALLY!?!?! Because there isnt a line of people out the door!!"
