Hooters — Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach

I sat in the parking lot ready to give them a 1 star as my son said he was hungry and how much longer, my husband went back inside to check on our carryout that was supposed to be ready 30 mins ago. It was just an order of 20 naked wings. I placed the order they said 20 mins. We headed to the restaurant just a couple mins early and my husband went inside to pick it up. They said they were behind and they will call when its ready. So we waited in the car in the pkg lot for 30 more mins (so now 50 mins since the order was placed) and he went back in. Still wasnt ready. Another 20 mins later (now an hour amd 10 mins) since we placed it we decided to tell them to just cancel we camt wait any longer. The hostess went to the back and came out with our order. The wings were good but the service is awful. No apology nothing. If you have hungry kids that cant wait an hour and a half to eat dont go there. So disappointing.

Take 2 - we decided to give this Hooters another try. I called first tobsee how long their carryout is running and he said 45 mins. I placed the wings order online and it said 30 but we knew 45 mins. My husband gave a few extra minutes and when he got there they were ready. When we went to eat it the wings were wrong. Supposed to be the extra crispy naked wings and they werent. Plus the sauce container wasmt closed and spilled all over the wings. I cant eat the sauce i have a dairy allergy. So even though on time the wings werent right. So we r done. No more and so...

It's been a long time since we've been to a Hooters. Our kids really loves wings and some may say people don't go to hooters for the wings but we always did! We decided to take them but the place is just not the same as it used to be. I was on the fence between a 3 and a 4. Had I never been to a Hooters then I would have given it a 4 for sure! The problem is I KNOW how great most of them used to be. The girls would sit with you. (There were plenty of girls so none were overworking themselves) They would pull paper towels off and give each person at least one. As long as it wasn't too busy they'd offer to peel the shrimp for you. They were always going above and beyond and would just sit and chit chat sometimes. They would always try and make some kind of conversation with kids and make you feel like you were more than a customer. While our waitress was sweet and smiling and absolutely did her job, I just expected more. The food was good! We really wanted wings that had good sauce and not over done and that's what we got. The portions were smaller than they used to be but we expected that. I would absolutely encourage people to go there if you want good buffalo sauce and wings but I doubt we will be going back. Just hard to look past the expectations of my past memories. Not sure any place will ever be that way again and I'll just have...

So, this was not a great experience. We were a party of 12. That is alot but we went early before the crowds and understood that bug parties are tough. The waitress was nice and collected all our orders and then said she was going to go put them in and grab our drinks. Good so far...then an hour goes by. The food trickles to our table one at a time for another hour. My small kids were hungry and were tired after waiting an hour and a half for food. Most of our table had got their food at the two hour mark except for my wife and kids. My wife ordered a salad...yes a very small salad and we ordered the kids sliders. Never once did the waitress come over to apologize for the long wait or offer to bring the kids anything. I have 2 kids one 2 and the other 1. Side note we were the only ones with kids at the table. It was ridiculous we finally told the waitress to pack up my wife's salad and needed a box for the kids food . It frustrates me that NO ONE came to our table to refill drinks or apologize for the long wait.. If it was short staffing then tell us. If you forgot to put the order in, then tell us. It was not busy and it was a Tuesday night. It does not suprise me that this Hooters has 3.8. We will not be going to this Hooters ever again and I hope that people will read this review before they think about coming in with...
