Always a fun time at AMC! Picture quality and sound is usually pretty good. Popcorn is usually tasty and other foods of good temperature and quality. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful.

The place needs some more tending to cleaning-wise. Bathrooms can be a mess with sticky, dirty gunk on the floor, broken stalls, soap and paper dispensers empty, etc. Outside areas around soda machines can be similar, with sticky, gunky floors. Seating is usually clean enough at least. But it was overall a lot better during the pandemic when they actually cared about cleaning. Now it seems like they might get around to cleaning some things once every few hours, if even that.

Sometimes they put a movie's volume too low. I've seen some action movies in IMAX and Prime here where the sound is disappointingly low. But most of the time they get it right.

IMAX here is fine. It's definitely a small "IMAX" compared to other locations. It's the best we can get in Tucson, but it leaves a lot to be desired. If you grow up here and only know this location, it's probably good. But coming from anywhere else, it's just so small. Certainly bigger than any other theater in town, but not the full, real IMAX experience you'd want for a nearly $20 ticket. If there's a movie you're really wanting to see in IMAX, go to Phoenix, it'll be worth it. And the seats are pretty uncomfortable compared to normal or Prime seating.

Prime though is pretty good. I haven't experienced Dolby theaters yet at other AMC locations, which I hear is exceptional. But for what it is, the Prime seating is pretty neat. Sound is usually great and the rumbling seats makes for a memorable experience. The most shaking we ever had was for The Little Mermaid during the final sea storm scene where it felt like we had massage chairs! It's usually not -that- crazy for most shows, but it's a nice feature that makes certain action scenes more fun and impactful.

I also had an interaction on the phone with someone who was pretty unhelpful. I asked about something with the Barbie car and they said they don't know, they can't ask, they don't work in that area, and there's no way for me to ask anyone that does. Super unhelpful and kind of unprofessional, like the call was inconveniencing them and they could care less about helping me with anything.

But despite all that, I'll be coming again and again since AMC A-List is a great deal to see 3 movies per week for $20/month and it's the only...

had the worst experience. bought the tickets online in advance for a showing of brokeback mountain. the theatre is 1 hour away from me, but my sister and I had no other theatres showing one of our fave movies near us. we got dressed up as cowboys, we drove the hour away. i got there and they refuse to let us in since my sister forgot her ID. She logged into the motor vehicle site online but they said it had to be a physical copy or on the app and there was no other valid form. this wasn’t something I read or was informed about when I purchased the movie tickets. We were denied, and came back home. it was around 17$ for the two tickets so i wanted to get a refund the next day since by the time we got home it was already late. i went to the AMC website and it didn’t allow me to refund the tickets. i had work so I didn’t get to investigate that further. later I called the place and spoke to this girl. She explained to the the exact thing that I already had been trying to do and had trouble doing. She told me ā€œlet me go speak to my managerā€. she then came back and said the only way she could give me a refund was through two movie tickets credit. i said ā€œi would rather have a refund to my card if there’s any other way to do that. the theatre is 1 hour away from me and I don’t see myself making the drive for any showingsā€ she went back to her manager. came back and said she could give me the contact information to file a report. so i said that would be great. she left again to speak with the manager and get the contact info. came back and said ā€œsorry there’s been a mistake. there is actually no way to file a complaint.ā€ and i asked her ā€œis there no way to contact customer serviceā€ and she said ā€œno. but if you have twitter you can text them on thereā€ the phone call was very difficult, the lady k was speaking to didn’t know how to handle the situation and had to keep putting me on hold to speak with her manager. i never got my refund. worst first experience with a theatre...

My worse theater experience ever in my own town and close to home. Very disappointed!!! We live near Harkins in NW side of Tucson AZ, but wanted to impress family members from across the border to try AMC because of the recliner chairs, sound and all they advertise but it was a big mistake! I Don't normally give reviews but I could not go without sharing this bad experience. It's going to sound like I'm exaggerating but pics will prove I'm not lying. The carpet not only was very dirty with big stains but smelled bad and the one by the Northside of the men bathrooms wicked like urine bad! Bathrooms were dirty, my stall did not have Toilet paper, sink did not have hand soap, I had to test other sinks to get some. There were no paper towels to dry out hands. There was hairs and toilet paper on the floor. you can tell that the bathrooms are not being taken care of like at other theaters. Not even across the border are bad like these. It was an embarrassing experience $77 for seven of us plus the popcorn and food not worth it. My seat in the theater was sticky and one of the cup holders had a gum in there. At the end of the movie I tried to talk to someone about this at the front desk but they were busy than the Young adults seem to be just messing around and with all our family waiting we got tired of waiting and decided it was a list cause. It was a very sad experience! Someone needs to take care of all these. I know that the foot hills mall is suffering with this economy but that is way too much. They charge almost double than Harkins on the north side of Tucson so we thought we were going to a fancy theater but it was awful! Here are some pictures I snap to confirm my experience.šŸ˜‚ If we would of had more time to run to another theater we most likely would have walked out but did not have time to catch another movie else where. Haven't been to this theater in a few years. I came here to see a movie in IMAX, and this is the closest one to me, though it's still a 40 minute drive. Let me start by saying that there's nothing wrong with this theater. I think I'm spoiled to have a really nice, modern theater near me that I usually go to, and maybe this place suffers in comparison. That said, the IMAX screen here didn't seem much bigger than the screen I'm used to, other than this one is curved a bit. Either way, the sound and picture quality were good. To be honest though, I can't say the experience of seeing this movie (Top Gun: Maverick) here in IMAX was significantly better than when I saw it the first time (in Cinemark XD). That's probably less about this specific theater and more about how IMAX compares to other premium formats. The facility was clean and the few people I encountered were friendly. I thought the concession stand area was a little sparse and had fewer selections than what I am used to. The seats were decent and comfortable, but again, nothing like the "luxury recliners" you see these days in a lot of theaters. Again, there's nothing wrong with this theater and I'd absolutely go back. I think my expectations were just set too high, because I remember the days when IMAX theaters were decked out with the best of everything. One last note, or question really. I don't go up to this part of town often. The whole mall was nearly empty on a Friday afternoon. At least 90% of the stores were closed, and the few that were open didn't have any customers. What's up with that?

DISGUSTING!!! Unbelievable, why do customers even go here!? Was our first time seeing a movie here as a family (Toy Story 4) and our last! We pre-purchased tickets and upon arrival got some munchies. My son ordered the chicken tenders/waffle fries box, which was expensive, but you expect to pay that in a theater. Once ready, he opened the box to find 3 small chicken nuggets...asked where the rest was and was told that was it. Looked NOTHING like the picture of large tenders/fries so we got the refund. While getting drinks, we noticed how disgusting and messy the soda and butter/condiment areas were. Literally trash overflowing out of the hole onto the counter and onto the floor. Soda spills absolutely everywhere, dozens of straw wrappers tossed around, popcorn everywhere, overflow drains full of food and trash. It was unbelievable!! Took some pics, went to get seated and had to toss all the trash and popcorn off of our seats before we could sit down. Went back after the 2 hour movie to get a quick refill and it looked EXACTLY the same. Also noticed that business had hit a lull and saw no less than 4 workers that were literally leaned against walls and sitting on counters talking and laughing. Clearly, there is no cleanliness standard here...it was probably the worst I've ever seen a theater. We'll stick to Cinemark!!
