October 24, 2023(3 stars): This theater gets more dated by the minute.
The elevator smells like it’s 20 plus years old, the stained carpet backs up it’s age.
Carpet in general here is gross. Stains from one end to the other. I’m not saying a carpet cleaner would make things perfect, but it would be a good place to start… or just outright replace it.
The most updated sections are the bathrooms. They keep reducing the number of sinks, leaving empty alcoves with no purpose. They’ve recently added handicap signs to some of the front stalls. What’s annoying about this is they are not actually handicap size. I know because I had to back myself and my walker into the stall and I still bumped into things. I was barely able to close the door.
The theater we were in today was at the very back. Number 7. It’s a small theater. It was clean. No issues with the screen. The handicap seat in the bottom row didn’t work correctly for either of us. They recline to far back, and the leg rest doesn’t lift all the way up.
They need to stop focusing on rising ticket costs, alcohol sales, and changing up the concession offerings… and start updating the theaters in areas that mater. People do not want to go someplace that’s falling apart, and where people clearly don’t care.
We enjoy AMC Plus and seeing one to three movies a week. This just is not our theater of choice to visit.
One year ish ago (4 stars): The quickest thing I did was walk in the door and get our tickets scanned. Then I waited at a designated counter space for an order I’d already placed. No one behind the counter pays attention to know you’re there. Once they do notice it’s a process that takes just as long as if I’d waited in line. The second longest span of wait time comes with commercials. The movies starts twenty minutes after the designated time. I know this has been a thing for a while. It really needs to change. It should be that the movie starts on time not the commercials start on time. The theaters aren’t ‘pandemic’ clean, but clean enough. The screens work and have no flaws. Overall it’s a...
Read moreI would definitely give this theater more stars but there are some pretty simple things that need to be corrected. We went to watch F9 in IMAX on 6/27/21. Seats were fairly comfy, love how they were high back and elevated a bit more than most places above the row in front. One problem was the sound. I get turn it up so you can hear the details and drown out any ambient noise but this was crazy. It turned up soo much that when there was no sound coming out of it you could still hear the amplifier hum through the speakers (gain way to high). Some of the sounds from this action movie were so loud it was physically painful and I am willing to bet above the level of osha safety that would require ear plugs if this were a worksite for the movie goer. There were kids with ear muffs to protect their hearing evidentially those parents already knew about the sound being way to loud. The other problem is the restrooms. At this location they have a set of restrooms just off the main entry area, except they have closed the men's down. This leaves handicap folks to travel all the way to the back of the theater or upstairs to restrooms. Upstairs is closer and there is an elevator but you have to wander around looking or manage to catch one of the very few employees not behind the counter and ask. More signs and please go upstairs and clean the men's room it was pretty gross. I get AMC is struggling to stay afloat but the prices on fountain drinks and popcorn two of the cheapest things they serve are CRAZY high. If the airport walked in to get some it would be like dang even I'm not that bad on food prices. The only reason to charge $10 for popcorn and $8 for a self serve fountain drink is to price gouge because you can. Gotta do better or I can see your future was only delayed by wallstreetbets and the rest of us who saved your butt from...
Read moreI will start by saying that the theater is nice and I like the reclining chairs. But my disappointment is that I received a gift card to AMC and this is the second time I tried to use it getting tickets for me was no problem online great. when it comes to using it at the concession stands it's been a Problem the first time did the person behind the counter had no clue how to use it I guess so I had to use my own money, money's tight you don't want to have to use your money when you have a gift card nevertheless I did the first time. Called the hotline that I have plenty of money on it great. I use it a second time that my tickets online no problem, go to the theater get inside ticket taker try to scan my phone couldn't grab the phone out of my hand since you can scan it oh, you should have asked. fine no problem so far. Get in line to go to the concessions and there's a sign that says cash only. first this sign should be on the front door when you walk in so you can go to the ATM which is outside the theater to get cash. So again I had to use what little cash I had on me and was barely enough to get a drink and small candy, disappointed again. I'm just not sure if it's worth while driving to this theater when I have a different theater just down the street from me. if I can't use the full potential of a gift card it's going to cost me money to use the theater might as well just pay and stay closer. Again I will say the theater is nice but the concession stands are more expensive tickets are more expensive and I have a gift card and I can't use it completely use my own cash I shouldn't have to. And if you're wondering why I didn't go to the service counter it's been close each time I've been there. Since the remodeling it's...
