One Night Taco Stand — Restaurant in Fruit Cove

Was excited to try this place out based off all the wonderful pictures I have seen online. Me and my wife went for an early weekday lunch. The wrestling theme décor and paintings were really cool to look at. We both very much enjoyed the salsa and chips. All of our food was fresh but had some issues. My wife ordered the supreme nachos and it had no more than a ketchup packet sized amount of cheese on it. At first it appeared that it had no cheese but she was able to find a little bit here and there. I ended up ordering 3 different tacos. The fiery fish taco was delicious. The fish was perfectly crispy and flaky and the flavor was great. The buffalo chicken was ok. The chicken itself was perfect however most of the taco consisted of cabbage and not much sauce. I mostly tasted the cabbage while consuming. Last, I had the potato taco and it was good. When my order first came out the waitress followed up right before I was about to eat and noticed my order was completely wrong. It was three tacos but all three were none of what I ordered. I waited another 15 minutes while my wife picked at her nachos trying to find more cheese. The waitress was very sweet and apologetic about everything. What really through me off was the statement she made about having communication issues with the cook and him not wanting to fix the order with out re-ringing the order and that is why everything was taking so long. This is the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. The birria quesadilla was not a birria quesadilla at all it was grisly fat chunks with flavorless broth to dip it in. The quesadilla was not even fully dipped in consommé and was not cooked properly. It was greasy and soggy at the same time. Everything was only seasoned with salt and nothing else. The only good thing I had all night was the salsa and chips. The fajita trio with steak, chicken, and shrimp had thin very tiny pieces of meat that was not even sautéed. They have no salsas for tacos I was offered hot sauce. This is a place you have to drink at to not taste how horrible the food is. We spent 70 dollars tried various foods the only thing that was okay was the street tacos even that was bland. I get that it’s Middleburg and maybe most of the people here like things bland but salt and nothing else completely disappointing and tasteless. If you like to throw your money down the drain and have food that tastes like Taco Bell go here. I’d rather go to no manches way or el aguave azul at least I’m getting edible delicious food that’s worth eating. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I do not know how else to convey how bad it was when you spend your hard earned money to go out and they give you what looks like scraps you would feed a dog on a fajita plate it infuriates you and leaves a worse taste in your mouth then the food does. We started going to One Night shortly after they opened in OP. At first, they were great. Food was always delicious, service was on point. We had no complaints, but as time has gone on it has become apparent that their previous level of quality is no longer priority to the owner. We always sit at the bar. They used to have some really great bartenders that were on top of things and were very friendly. We looked forward to seeing them. Now, they just have a bunch of younger people that are clearly more concerned with conversing with each other and being on their phones than they are providing quality service to their patrons. Also, the quality of the food isn’t the same anymore. It’s very obvious they no longer take the extra time to do the little things that make the difference. For instance, I always get fajita nachos. They have always put the queso on the side which I appreciate bc it prevents my nachos from getting soggy before I’m finished eating. Now, it’s literally dumped on the empty plate and then they throw everything else on top of it. Our last few experiences have been extremely disappointing bc we used to go there at least three times per week. Now it’s looking like we will have to find a new place...
