Ruby Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Florida

The food has always been phenomenal there and the portions are impressive, but when approaching the counter today, I was met with an extremely unpleasant and impatient lady. I asked for a bourbon chicken sample for the girl, and I was stuck between orange chicken or a new unfamiliar spicy chicken. I asked to try the spicy and she was very careful not to give a big piece. After 6 or 7 stabs then rejections from her toothpick, she finally found one worthy of a sample. After every sample she handed me, she rushed other people behind us in front of us when there wasn’t even any line behind us other than the one she encouraged.

I get the hustle and bustle of business, but there’s a fine line between efficiency and impatience and she was well beyond the line. Serve one person at a time and give us the 20 seconds it takes to not push someone in front of us and cause people to knock into someone wearing heels. Very rude and completely messed up our plans because of impatience. Great food ruined by a horrible human. Slow down. She was sure when I asked for a sample of the orange chicken to tell me there’s people behind me and are we gonna order are we gonna order hurry hurry that way my date stormed off after the embarrassing encounter of other customers pushing us out of the way while listening to the demanding older lady. wish I could Give zero stars...

I was pretty excited about eating here when I saw that they were putting out fresh food while wearing gloves. Everything looked delicious. I can't lie that their food tasted good but the only reason they are getting 1 star is because they are not welcoming to people of color. The lady who is over everyone saw me come to the counter I proceeded to order from her and she threw her hands up in my face and told one of the workers you handle her and take her order. I politely said eww okay and decided just to get a small order because I was really and truly hungry. They cheated me on the portions and I kept saying I wanted the same entree but I just said f it and took my food and left. I ended up leaving and order from other places which was worth it. I will not be spending my money here anymore. My instinct was to go to Sakura but I was crowded. I will wait in the Sakura line next time I'm done...

Poor food and appalling customer service. I ordered the Noodle Soup and it was so scaldingly hot I could not eat it- even after adding a handful of ice and waiting 15 minutes for it to cool. Tried to exchange it for something else and the lady was so rude. First she just offered me a lid so I could take the soup home (I was headed to a movie so that wouldn't work, plus I was still hungry). Then when I asked for a cup of chicken, she tried to give me one half the size of what I paid. She refused to give me a refund or offer and solution. I ended up asking for a Snapple and leaving hungry and cheated out of my remaining $5. I won't...
