Amish Country Soap Company — Attraction in Dover

I was really hopeful for this product and purchased it for my Dad to help with his psoriasis (or at least not to exacerbate his condition). I kept a bar for myself and gave the other bars to him. This soap is rich and lathers very nicely but the company really needs to invest in better quality control. The batch I received is full of debris. At first I thought maybe it was potpourri or something but as I used the soap and the pieces further revealed themselves, it appeared to be more likely it was floor sweepings (hair and dirt or the like) and I was developing a rash when I’ve never had a rash before. It’s too bad. This could have been a good product.

Edited Oct 22, 2024. I reached out to Amish Farms about the issue and spoke with Steve Ross expressing my concerns about the bad batch I’d received. He assured me that since he’s been running company, there hasn’t been any of these sorts of quality control issues. I hesitantly ordered again, a five bar bag with multi colored scented bars, and having not had any issues, I recently ordered again, this time a 40 bar box of unwrapped unscented bars. So far so good. I’ll be ordering again. As such, I’m modifying my rating from one star...

I love their stuff. But they have an employee at the place in hartville, that needs some skills.. I walk into the store. She is putting her makeup on behind the register yesterday.. Then I asked her a question and I had to get an answer like I was a first grader.. Then when I go to cash out, she is watching the other person that is there working with her?Take care of a customer.. I had to keep telling her that I would like my change back.. When I finally got out of the store, I looked back and she rudely went over there and just interrupted the other employee with that customer, I know it was a male, then a female.. But you don't do that if you're taking care of a customer, you take care of that customer until the custom...

I bought their Sensation Salve when visiting Holmes County. That stuff is as good as it gets. It's better than Vicks for unplugging plugged up sinuses. I also found it is excellent in helping me breath better in order to sleep better at night. The lady at the auction that we talked to is very knowledgeable and helpful. At first, I thought a lot of the claims was sales hype. As it turns out, it is everything and more as advertised. I plan on doing more business with this company...
