We stayed for the weekend at Lodging on the square. The check in was at Berlin Inn which is just a few blocks away. They have several sister properties. Great communication explaining how to find our room and breakfast and etc. We had to go to Berlin Inn to have the complimentary breakfast each morning. It wasn’t ideal but very understandable. There wasn’t many at our hotel so it made sense from a business standpoint to not pay someone to manage the breakfast for a few hours for only a couple of us. They offered coffee, juice, omelets, make your own waffles, sausage gravy & biscuits. Yogurt, fruit, oatmeal and dried cereal. Everything tasted good. Our room was the king deluxe suite with jetted tub. You had to go down several steps to get inside and it was facing the street. I will say it was not noisy though. It was a nice quiet big room. The bedroom was off by itself with a door. The living room was open and the tub was located in it. Good size kitchen but small fridge that didn’t hold much (don’t buy a lot of food to take home that needs refrigeration). They had a small coffee pot and microwave. They don’t leave you paper plates or silverware so I suggest bringing some with you. If you want to warm up leftovers you will need them. We did have access to the lobby and we found some plastic forks there that we used. The location is great because you can walk to all the shops. There’s a great coffee shop just a block away! The bed was large and comfortable. The room was clean but a little outdated. That being said we got what we paid for and I feel it was worth the money we paid. It’s very affordable, quiet and comfortable. Plenty of parking as well. Perfect for a little...
Read morePlease do not be deceived by the photographs on the website. My wife and I had a wonderful experience in Berlin and enjoyed both shopping and sightseeing. The people were also wonderful. Unfortunately, the hotel experience we had was horrendous. The room was dirty; with bugs all over the windowsill. The water pressure was abysmal. The blackout curtains were cheap and inadequate, letting in most of the street light. We had to check in at another location as ours was under "renovation". Additionally breakfast and coffee was also at that location. No turnover service if you stay consecutive days unless you drive to another location and inform them you may need more than two towels. Lastly, the manager, Jolene, was rude and unaccommodating when I tried to get some resolution. She begrudgingly sent a $50.00 refund after lying to me that her staff had spoke to my wife and informed her of the renovation. That conversation did not take place. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she did not reply back. I thought if she simply apologized and refunded one of our two days that would be fair. I plan on visiting Berlin at Christmas time but after the way i was treated will never stay in a Berlin Heritage Inn run hotel. i advise you to...
Read moreThe lady at the front desk is one of the most rudest people I have ever encountered, we have 2 service pets licensed and registered and she she gave me the biggest run around with them that I have ever accounted, she refused to even look at the service registration of the dogs saying anyone can get those anywhere which is against the law but I had to explain what they do when an emergency occurred I tried to explain it and she kept interrupting saying I don't believe it then she said she was calling the ada to see what they had to say and then said she has a problem believing it and made us pay for one of the dogs, I tried to tell her we had all the paperwork where they were schooled for training but she refused to even look at the. We've stayed in 5 star hotels that never questioned the license after looking at them and this rudeean lady was the worst person we have ever encountered, we have 2 social media accounts and 2 you tube accounts and we will be posting on all 4about how we were treated, never ever will I ever stay at that place again I will sleep on the sidewalk first, they need to send her to class instead...
