First of all, you can’t beat the location! Easy access to all of the Main Street. The hosts were responsive and an added bonus was all the info they emailed out like favorite things to do in the area, and things to do on a Sunday…I appreciated that even as a frequent traveler to the area. The place was spotless and the fireplace was lovely. The TV internet was spotty. I’m not a big TV person but if you are that might be annoying. I also couldn’t get a consistent temp to save my life, but I have a hate-hate relationship with those (newer) wall units. They may be efficient but they hate me haha Plenty of coffee (and even options) which was a huge perk for me personally. Kitchen seemed super equipped w oils and spices and cooking tools.
I was more towards the back of the building and had no road noise issues from 39. I would not likely stay again though unless it was last minute and I could confirm the rooms around me were empty. This place has amazing reviews so it’s possible I was just next to unusually loud guests, but I was taking a momcation to get extra sleep and relax in the quiet and there was constant banging and talking next door. It was like they were slamming a shower door every few minutes and hammering like they were hanging decor on the walls. I literally have no clue how (what sounded like) two people could make so much noise. It was really something. I couldn’t go to bed until they did and I got to wake up (early) with them. I definitely didn’t get extra sleep on my trip, but it was still lovely overall. I would strongly encourage the hosts to consider adding a sound machine in the bedroom. I travel w one for my kids but didn’t think to bring one for just myself. My one night without the noisy neighbors was much better (until a garbage truck or something came beeping by at 6:30am 😩 it just wasn’t my weekend to sleep in!). I would stay again if I knew I wasn’t sharing a wall bc the space and location are great.
Also, you MUST schedule a massage at the salon next door—it was divine and so convenient! Perfect way to end...
Read moreOverall the lodge was nicely decorated and quiet. Being on Main Steet was nice to have access to the shops. The couch in the Magnolia suite was very uncomfortable and felt like the springs were broke. As couple we spent most time either sitting outside or in the bedroom and could not enjoy the fireplace in the evenings in the living room due to the couch. Additionally the bedroom heat was on when we arrived (which we didn't initially know) and we were having AC issues in the living room however we eventually figured out both units either needed to be on heat or AC (maybe just a note to make for the next tenants). Towels and soaps were provided and full kitchen which was very nice to have. Private parking was also a plus to get away from all of the other traffic. The hot tub was clean and relaxing but only big enough for two. The shower did have noticeable soap scum or hard water stains however everything else was very clean! The bed was comfortable and we slept well! Overall, if the couch was replaced it would be a...
Read moreOne of our favorite places to go is Belamere in Perrysburg. Main Street Lodge is a VERY VERY close second. Closer to home and half the cost.
I wanted to surprise my husband with a overnight getaway considering he has been working third and we rarely get time alone. Upon booking, we got an email confirming the reservation. Later, before the day of arrival, we got another email with directions and parking/door code information. The suite I chose had a hot tub which greeted us hot and ready. The patio had curtains for privacy. The suite itself was very clean and comfy. The unit had a full kitchenette which was great because I brought homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast the next morning. The bathroom had a huge shower able to fit us both. Very excited about that because we only have a shower stall. The bed was adjustable and comfortable! The living space had a fireplace on a timer and a comfortable couch to cuddle up on. We will be definitively...
