Extremely good value compared to a lot of the other go-kart places. I got both of my sons the 2-hour wristbands, with the $3 off coupons we had it was $53 for each kid for the 2 hours. It was light to medium amount of people there and I don't think we even waited as long as 3 minutes in any line. In fact, Most of the time it wasn't even a half a minute wait! They got right on the karts! The Slick track, the Bullet and Speed Racer tracks all were especially fun!! The slick track even though it's a small oval you can get sideways and even spin around! That really added to the Fun Factor! I lost count but I'm sure the kids got in 13 or 14 races in those two hours. Staffing was plentiful and friendly and helpful. The karts were in good condition and ran well. We did a lot of research before we went because there's so many different kart tracks around the area. OC Baja had six or seven different tracks plus bumper cars. My kids are 18 and 13 so there was no issue with our height. A couple of the tracks would accommodate children maybe down to 8 or 9 years old? it really depends on your height. There are some tracks in the area where for the money we spent they would have only got three or four races each. I only ran One race. I bought a single ticket with a dollar off coupon so it cost me $8. For the parents : I'm 52yo, I found the cart slightly cramped (I'm 5'10") and the seats a little hard. However, I only raced once so it wasn't a real big issue. I don't think there's any way I could have bought a 2-hour wristband and raced 13 times though. In summary.. Between the variety of tracks, the quickness of getting on each ride, and the value for the money.. We Definitely picked the right place! Would STRONGLY recommend !! ...The Babal's from...
Read moreRefused to accommodate disabled child/family. Refused to allow abled bodied child who is 1/8 inch too short ride by herself so disabled child could ride with the parent. Could literally buy slightly thicker sole shoes and be tall enough and it wouldn't make a difference in riding either way. And then as I walked away the "manager" was laughing about it with another employee.
The reply below does not appear to be from the owner as stated but by the onsite manager. Her solution was to essentially segregate my kids by leaving one kid standing alone while I drive the disabled child on the "family track." And then let my abled child drive alone on a smaller track. Clearly they are not familiar with the American's with Disabilities Act, which defines an accommodation as MAKING AN EXCEPTION to polices, rules, procedures, etc so disabled people can participate in life. The accommodation requested was to allow my severely disabled child participate in an activity with her sister, which is next to impossible on a daily basis. Segregation does not equal accommodation. It was not peak busy time; it was slow enough they could have had only us on the track to make it even safer because my abled daughter was very close to the 52 in requirement and could have driven herself so I could drive my disabled daughter. But as below they want to bicker about 1/8 inch or 1 inch...point is, she was measured 3 times and very very close all 3 times and they cared less about having empathy and trying to...
Read moreLet the good times….roll!! (dad joke). Carts on the big tracks were fast enough for my teenaged boys (both 14) and I was able to match pace with them (even though I’ve got at least 50 pound on them). Ride the family tracks first (they are much slower) or stick with the big tracks. We got 20 tickets for $120 and that was about perfect for 3 of us. If you go early and the lines are short (highly recommended), the one hour deal is probably the way to go. We paid the extra $$ for the the twin engine carts and they were indeed quick (do that last or everything else will seem slow). Grand Prix across the street has a faster racing cart but you have to be 16 to drive them so I’m glad we could all run the twin engine carts at Baja. Frankly, the stock cars were probably our favorite because the corners are high banked with slick track sections down low on that track and most drivers slide/spin out….so you can actually pass many cars if you anticipate and take a better line…..fun!! Snack bar and arcade are closed but they sell drinks and the restrooms are open. The young staff was fine- they like working on the engines above bubbly customer service but I was good with that. They allowed some rail rubs if you were sensible about it but they jumped on anyone being reckless…I thought they did a good job. Great place - would...
