Friendly service by three ladies who seemed to take pride in the place. Biggest gripe is that the side of scrapple was four small squares for $3.30. That's not too terrible, but they have no syrup on site. Blaspheme! I got the bangers and smash. Sausage was a bit too charred, but I would much rather have that then a bland, under-cooked variety. The taters were still mostly whole and just smashed then fried. Onions and peppers were very nicely sauted. Looking forward to trying their homemade biscuit breakfast sandos. Bottom line is they serve real food made with care, and that's a good thing. Lastly, look at my photo. They do that whole paper straw thing, supposedly for the environment. But look at the container my, admittedly delicious, iced tea came in. Good bless them for their good intentions. Plastic straw would be much better in an xl drink as it will not deteriorate and doesn't come close to the plastic in that big cup and lid. Just a friendly suggestion!

Look - this place is truly a five star joint despite my three star review. The Rise Up portion of this location has excellent black coffee, incredibly friendly service, and a clean/rustic/organic-hipster interior that I love. They have a cool merch wall, I even bought a shirt. I couldn't rate it higher because we came for breakfast and the Mad Eggs breakfast sandwich failed me. Maybe if you get meat on your sandwich you won't notice how the eggs are cooked overhard. I got double egg and the whites were burned and the yolks were chalky. We finished up by splitting a scone that the lady at the counter (who couldn't have been sweeter) warmed for us. The scone was moist and delicious. The specialty drinks other customers were getting looked great. Definitely come here for drinks, but plan to eat before or after.

Rise Up has some of the best coffee in the area. It's evident that the people here care about brewing high-quality coffee filled with great and diverse flavors. The art on the walls and bags of coffee is very cool. It really contributes to making this place feel lively and vibrant. When we came they were out of breakfast meats in the kitchen, which was a bummer. We were really excited to try the breakfast burritos! In all, it's an awesome spot. It's definitely worth the trip.

I was so excited to see a vegan breakfast option in OC. I drove over from north OC. I walked straight to the counter and ordered the Happy Cow and a lemonade. I then sat behind the wall and waited for my food. At one point, I thought I heard a mispronunciation of my name. I walked to the counter, didn’t see any food, and sat back down (assuming I was mistaken). After some time had passed, I asked the cashier if food pickup is at the same counter where people were picking up drinks. She said, “no, over at the window.” So my name HAD been called (once). When I ordered, it would have taken the cashier two seconds when I ordered to tell me about the window. I was behind the wall the whole time. I didn’t study the place when I walked in. I grabbed my lukewarm wrap and left, though I had planned to eat there. It was supposed to contain fried potatoes. There was ONE sliver of potato in the whole thing. I’m just so...

We went on a Tuesday morning and the place wasn’t super crowded. I ordered two drinks (sweet tea and strawberry lemonade) and two food items (breakfast sandwich with scrapple and the Tito burrito). We originally tried ordering online, but our order wouldn’t go through because they didn’t have breakfast tots, but the app wasn’t telling me to remove that item specifically, so I couldn’t figure out what was out of stock. While the biscuit on the sandwich was good and the scrapple was crispy, it tasted bland. The Tito burrito was good but was missing the avocado which I paid for. A big reason for the low stars was the amount of time we waited for our food. It took over 30 minutes to get those two food items which seems excessive. Overall, we probably won’t be going back, because the amount of time to get our food for something that was just okay, doesn’t...
