Ledo Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

Suggestion: Avoid and go to the West OC Location

I have been a customer of Ledo's in OC since 2005. I usually go to North Ocean City for service, so I was pleased when the closer West Ocean City location opened.

Unfortunately, the West Ocean City location is not good and, in many ways, quite gross.

Last night, we visited the store, our first return visit in a month; we were hoping things were better than our previous visit.

Unfortunately, things were still bad, and the hygiene of the food preparer was so noticeably bad that we left without placing an order.

Since we did not order last night, this review is based on my experiences over the previous three months.

The good: Closer than North Ocean City

The Bad: The food quality is poor, not close to North OC.

The place feels dirty, even gross, which is awful for a restaurant. I have never experienced this at the North OC location.

The cook, a heavy-set, bearded man, seems as though he couldn't care less about the quality of his product.   Even worse, his hygiene appears awful, which is incredibly distressing for a person handling your food and solely responsible for preparing your meal.

The customer service is inconsistent. Several women are pleasant and try so hard that you can tell that they care. However, others, primarily a younger male, and a few others, as well as the cook, all seem annoyed even to be there and share that attitude with the us and others.

Every time I have visited the the cook is standing in the window between the counter and the kitchen, playing on his phone, and appears incredibly annoyed when he has to prepare an order.

Verdict: Traveling to North OC is worth it; simply put, the food quality, customer service, overall cleanliness, and competent, clean, and pleasant cook make the distance irrelevant.  Until West OC makes these improvements, we will not be returning, and I encourage those who visit the store to notice what I am pointing out in my review; I am sure you will see the same and most likely decide to eat elsewhere.

Wanted to take my two kids out for pizza…. Had been looking forward to Ledos all day. Soon as we got there I noticed the parking lot was completely empty (as it had been for days and weeks on end now).. I should have known better! The woman at the register had ZERO customer service skills, and acted as if she were very annoyed that, PAYING CUSTOMERS interrupted her, “down time”. We waited almost 30 minutes for our pizza. As I was getting the girls their plates ready, and handed my oldest her food she instantly said, “Mom! There’s something black in my pizza!!”. Sure enough, as soon as I looked… there were BLACK BEARD HAIRS ALL IN THE MEDIUM PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to ask for the manager and noticed one of the guys in the kitchen had a lot of hair (black hair) on his face with NO mask to cover it from falling. DISGUSTING! Needless to say, we will NOT be coming back to this establishment! Had I not forgotten at the time that MIONES was right around the corner… we would have NEVER went to Ledos in West OC to begin with! One, the employee at the register, and two, the hair in our pizza!!!! Not to mention…. The manager ONLY refunded for the pizza, not the drinks. The entire purchase should have been refunded beings we didn’t even get to take a bite!!!!...

We were down in OC for an early Valentine's Day getaway last weekend and stopped here as it was close to our hotel. We ordered two sandwiches, Meatball and a Cheesesteak and I gotta say, the food was way better than expected.

Both sandwiches came out hot and fresh. Our favorite part was the bread, it was toasted perfectly! My only negative comment was the service. There were no other patrons in the restaurant aside from a few carry out orders, but the food took longer than expected and our sandwiches didn't come out together.

When I made a joke about the meatballs being made to order, to the server/cashier proceeded to go back in to the kitchen and repeated what I said to the cook and started talking badly about me. I couldn't hear everything, but heard enough.

To be fair in this review, I'll also mention that we felt that it was a little overpriced as well, but it is a tourist area so of course prices are going to be high.

Other than the service really,...
