So the story starts out with me purchasing a mattress from the downtown location over a year ago. The mattress was an all foam model that ended up not being the right fit for my body type. I called the customer service department and spoke to Jon Dwight. After speaking to him and letting him know my issues with the mattress I currently had I was told I would be taken care of. Jon was extremely knowledgeable about the different mattresses and was able to narrow down the selection to few he felt would be the most beneficial for my needs. I was told to go into a store and look around and see what felt good. I was told Parklane would come and drop off a loaner mattress so that mine could be inspected for defects. Jon's recommendations were spot on and I picked out one out of the three he recommended. The staff in the store was extremely friendly as well as very knowledgeable about the different products. I ended up picking out the Cornell and so far very pleased. After I let Jon know the Cornell felt very good he talked some more with his bosses to see if there was something that can be done even though my mattress had no defects. Jon and his crew decided to let me exchange mattresses as if I was still with in the comfort guarantee period. This is by far some of the best customer service I have ever received. Read moreIn search of a new mattress my husband, daughter and I went to what we thought was still Parklane Mattresses in Lake Oswego, next door to Trader Joe’s, but upon arrival saw the sign said BedMart. We ventured in anyhow and are so glad we did! We learned that BedMart acquired Parklane sometime ago, but the mattresses and overall customer service was not lost in the exchange. Judie helped us on our quest and she was fantastic! She taught us a great deal about mattresses, the differences, how and the why they are made/built in certain ways and how that has changed over time. Nowadays, there is a computer set up to calculate the best mattress to fit ones needs, however after trying it twice it wasn’t working. Luckily for us, Judie has been in this business for 8 years and was our “human computer.” She took the time and had us try a number of mattresses (while keeping our 5 year old daughter amused on a massaging bed!) After we had made our decision, she received a message letting her know the computers were down. Woops, we already knew that! Ha ha ha. Anyhow, we couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience at the now “BedMart” with Judie as our guide! Our mattress arrived two days later and we are SO HAPPY with our purchase! The salesperson, Thomas Gardiner, made us feel like valued customers, answered our many questions with helpful, essential information (even when we switched from wanting a 2-part motorized mattress to a more tradition model) and directed us to his wonderful summer sales deals that saved us a lot of money! He provided me with essential measurements to check against my king size 4 poster bed, and when I phoned in my results he agreed to hold the mattress I had most favored until we could make a down payment on it. Upon completing the deal, he arranged for next-day installation and removal of my old mattress.
