If I could give 0 stars that's exactly what would be given at this store. Me and my Fiance and his grandparents went to buy a T.V. because best buy had some pretty good deals advertised, when we got there we got the T.V. we were looking for and checked out....well we lost our keys so as my fiance and his grandfather are searching the store for the missing keys me and his grandmother were waiting at the door but on the opposite side of the exit door. Jeff (AP associate) asked if we had purchased our T.V. and I kindly looked at him and said we're not leaving yet, but of course we wouldn't walk out with a T.V that wasn't paid for. He seemed to get very frustrated at my answer and responds "Well it is my job to make sure no one walks out of my store with items that are not paid for" and again I kindly responded to him saying we're not leaving yet my fiance misplaced his keys and we're waiting here until we have them but I will be glad to show you our receipt when I am actually trying to exit the store, so Jeff begins to carry on about "this is my job" so I ignored him....well we finally found the keys and now we're just trying to leave and go about our day well come to find out the lady who checked us out never gave us our receipt, so I called the lady over to have her verify with Jeff and he looked at her (his own co-worker) and said "I don't believe you, I need a receipt to be printed out before I allow "these people" to walk out my store" so at this point I've done had enough, so I looked at him and said "you know this is ridiculous, I have two elderly people with me who just wanted to buy a T.V. and leave, you even have your associate verifying that we paid for our T.V." well he looks at me and says "If you think I am profiling you that is wrong lady, you're really pushing my limits"....ok rewind whoever said you were profiling? I would say you must feel pretty guilty in order for that to come out your mouth without anyone even accusing you of doing such a thing. After that my Fiance stepped in and told Jeff to calm down as he threatened me by saying "I'm pushing his limits" long story short we left because we did not want any issues but I was able to call and report the incident to manager and cooperate and I am really hoping they take care of this issue. NO ONE should ever feel threatened in a store they just spent 500.00 dollars in. We will definitely not be back in that store and hopefully they get rid of the racist man...
Read moreToday I decided to upgrade to a Samsung S20 Ultra and ordered it for pickup at the Martinsburg store. After carefully going through all of the options there was nowhere to change the person picking it up. Since there is curbside pickup only, I called and had to go through multiple menus to finally reach someone. The person on the other end must have worked in the cellphone department because he asked if I wanted to buy a new i-Phone. I stated no and that I needed to simply add my wife (she is on my cell phone account) as the one that would be picking up the phone. The man at the other end first said "The option was there" quite rudely. I informed him it was not. He then stated, "Well you are the first one I have heard of that had that problem" in a way to infer that I was lying about it. I told him I work at a data center and am on computers all day long, there was no option. He then said 'Well I can't help you, you have to do it online". The phone said "Goodbye" and was ringing again, this time to a number that stated the wait time was in excess of 60 minutes. Getting angry as I need this phone today and being a 20 year customer of both Verizon and Best Buy, I call back and get the same person on the phone. He stated "I told you there was nothing we can do for you, only the national people can help you." Disgusted with the flippant way I was talked to and treated, I cancelled the order online and decided to purchase somewhere else where the people are happy to have my business during an economy killing pandemic. There is absolutely no excuse for this, the level of rudeness encountered was...
Read moreWe went to Best Buy to look at Apple Computers because they were on sale. Ended up saving about $200 on my purchase of a MacBook Pro so that was a good part to this review!
The store is a typical Best Buy store and has changed little since it was opened at our location.
The young man that helped us was knowledgeable and helpful. He did not try to oversell us on many items that we didn’t need so I appreciated that.
As mentioned above, the pricing was better than most places that we looked at the same computer so i am giving a good rating based mostly on that and the staff’s help.
The two main reasons that I have only three stars are as follows:
Other than the two previous concerns, I would rate as four stars.
