South Motors Collision Center is worst possible autoshop you could take your car. Not only do they out cheat you with the repairs and services but they also offer you a rental from enterprise and 6 months later you find out they never paid for the bill and ends up being your responsibility. My car was brought to this location through my insurance company GEICO. After 2 months of being there and lack of communication the car seemed to be finally repaired. NOT! They didn't know that my husband was engineer and spot all their freaking mistakes. How do call your self the best automotive when you hand a car back with loose bolts. Not only that but to a customer who has then rencently had a baby? Is that baby safe? Anyhow, long story short my car was then totaled by my insurance after more damages from South Motors. In the mean time as a courtesy South Motors offered a rental since we are now going on 3 months. Took the rental offer, drove it for 9 days, returned the rental, received a bill $0 charged to me and being billed to South Motors. Mind, this was back in Oct 2016. January 30, 2017 my credit card was billed for $232 for the cost of the rental from enterprise. After many follow ups enterprise denied to refund me since I drove the car/rented it. Fairly speaking! Now, South Motors on the other hand lacked communication again! It's been 2 months constant calling, showing up at the location, waiting 4 hours at the location, leaving messages, sending emails,and still no one has responded about refunding me my $232. Matter of fact they haven't even decided to pay Entetprise so they could refund me. This place is a joke! There front desk speaks bad about the place and are so over worked. No one really owns up to their mistakes. They have constant management change. And the new manager is even worse bc he doesn't show his freaking face. Wow what hell did they teach you in leadership classes. You would assume good customer is your number one goal, well they are not about that. Being able to give bad customer services is known for this place. I can't not say how pissed I am at this place. No manager had the audacity to come forward and speak nor has there billind lady, Sandy has returned my call. All I get is "sandy said she will call you!" My car was towed in for simple repairs to change an assembly fan and a new battery.
Midway through the process, I found out concrete had been splashed on my car because my car had been sitting for a month before anyone touched it (see pics).
There is an overall lack of honesty with this shop. I was told the work on my car should have taken took less than a week to complete per the estimate, yet it several weeks, months, for my car to be delivered and no one can own up to why. No one even apologized for the delay, NOT ONE TIME. I asked for a manager several times and not once did they call back.
I am truly disgusted by the lack of care this shop has. Evelio (first service advisor) had my car since 12/16/2022 and did absolutely nothing. I called everyday, and he stated the delay was that he ordered parts and was waiting for them to come in. Two weeks later, my car is assigned to Karla (second service advisor) on 1/4/2023. Karla took the repair auth to order parts and start the repair process, so I found out Evelio lied to me about ordering parts for weeks because he never took an auth to do so.
Even picking up my car was a poor experience. The women at the front desk was rude and dismissive, and was on her personal cell phone. She asked āWhatās the rush?ā I would not recommend this place to anyone. They scrapped off the concrete on my hood and now the paint is dull in all the areas they scrapped it off. My car sounds extremely loud now and is worst than when I dropped it off. They cut corners on repairs and did not do a thorough job. Although the ladies at the front desk are extremely pleasant and helpful, my overall experience left very little to be desired. And, since they requested that I leave a review, I'm obliging. My vehicle looks great, however, not only did it take over 3 weeks to complete, when I went to pick it up, my A/C was not working. Was it working when I dropped it off? Yes. Has anyone other than South Motor technicians/staff had access to my vehicle since July 23rd? Presumably not. I left the car there (on the day of pickup, which was August 13th) to have an insurance agent investigate the issue and they determined that the compressor was bad due to age. Am I disputing the age of the compressor? No. Should I be responsible for an issue that was NOT an issue when I left my vehicle in their car? Absolutely not. Everything is not the shop's fault directly, but I expect them to represent me and m car regarding issues that they are responsible for by virtue of having possession of my vehicle. I am wholly dissatisfied and am likely going to pursue legal action because the bottom line is that my A/C was working BEFORE South Motor took possession of my car for repairs. Additionally, the front tag bracket was not replaced prior to pick up and I didn't even take the opportunity to fully inspect the repairs, so there's no telling what else wasn't completed to standard.
