I love this mall and it’s gorgeous I worked here for half a year and you will notice it is a popular place for tourists as well as older people. I believe mall management needs to be more involved because there is often problems that only mall management can really help. I think there needs to be maybe a number posted if people need help especially to navigate because the map can be confusing especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. Also mall security should have more respect for the stores, especially due to covid. There was an incident at the store I worked for where the customer wasn’t wearing a mask so they were asked to leave. The customer began to get hostile and would not leave the store, the customer was informed we were going to call security and still remained in the store, security came and did nothing, he remained in the store with no mask making other customers feel uncomfortable. I personally feel like this makes the mall look bad, especially with signs posted all around saying “mask are required” . Another thing that I think would make this mall way better is if they could implement carts for the elderly and disabled. Being that you the mall is completely outdoors it can get incredibly hot, which makes it even harder for our elders to get around. I will say it’s a really good thing there are benches and tables every where cause they are so needed when these people need to sit down and take a break. From my personal experience, my grandma loves coming to the mall but she would find it hard to walk around for too long so we’d have to sit for awhile and I would have to help her walk around, which I don’t mind but even that is hard on her. I just feel that these are the most important improvements the...
Read moreI have a medical exemption from wearing a mask. I visited the Christmas Shoppe looking for a few last minute gifts. The others in my group wore masks and I made sure to stay away from other shoppers out of respect. An employee came up and asked me about wearing a mask. I explained that I had a medical exemption. He told me I either had to wear a mask or leave. I set down the items I had been planning on buying and informed him I would be leaving. He called after me as I was leaving, "Fine. You should leave since you clearly can't read!" (Customer service clearly doesn't mean anything anymore.) 1) The doors were open when we went in. On the way out, we saw the signs on the doors which - because they were open - you have to go out of your way to read. 2) I had been in the shop several weeks earlier without my mask while other customer also shopped, interacted with several associates and was never questioned on my lack of a mask.
The state of Florida does not require masks. The county of Manatee does not require masks. Law Enforcement has said they will not respond to complaints regarding people not wearing masks. The ADA requires that shops make accommodations for people with disabilities, even ones...
Read moreNot sure why OshKosh is reflecting permanently closed on the web, but it is very open. I just had to give a shout out to Brionna at OshKosh for not only her kind assistance, walking me to the items rather than pointing me in their direction, but more importantly, for knowing her inventory and literally taking me exactly to the areas where the items were located instead of taking me on a tour of the store in search of them. In a day where quality and genuinely gracious customer service is lacking, thank you Brionna. I had been to 3 other stores before OshKosh, and aside from the fact that you had the item, your customer service was commendable. I will shop here over other children's clothing stores whenever possible in appreciation for your customer service. Please keep doing what your doing with the spirit with which you do it, if not at OshKosh, whereever life leads you. With that service oriented mentality, you are destined for big things. ...
