I scheduled an appt for an oil change and tire rotation online. they sent me a confirmation email reminder and I showed up at the appointment only to be told they don't take appts, despite the fact they accept appts on their website. And I had to wait in line. I should have left then. They did an oil change and 24.99 tire rotation. I was handed a bill for $159. When I questioned the price of a $125 oil change, they gave me a song and dance about "extra" oil needed for my vehicle. They gave me a $10 credit as goodwill gesture. I had no choice but to pay the bill, but I told them I wouldn't be back. The Goodyear in Yulee on 200 just across the street charged me $69.99 for the exact services in June 2022. I will go back there for my next services. Their prices aren't posted when you arrive and they didn't explain in advance. I do not have an exotic automobile either. Just warning you to save anyone else the expense and inconvenience. l just never expected such an exorbitant price for an oil change. Lesson learned. Followup Edit: I contacted the company directly and received a call from the same manager that did not assist me in the first place. He claims he would give me a free oil change IF I removed this review and then provided a 5 star review! Would anyone in their right mind allow their car to be serviced again at a place that ripped them off? nah...not me. Sadly, before posting this review, I told him of my concerns and that I would share my experience to alert others. He said he didn't care. So if you're looking for service from someone who doesn't care about you or your vehicle, this is the...
Read moreIntegrity, doing the right thing, the right way, even if nobody's going to know -- that always impresses me. Integrity that actually costs something to uphold, well, that's really become a rare find these days. But I found it today at Express Oil Change, when I took my 2018 Tacoma in for service. This was my first time visiting Express Oil Change, and I found Chris and the team on their game the minute I drove up--courteous, professional, crisp; a great first impression! As they worked to remove the old oil filter, they found it'd been way over-tightened at the neighboring garage (to which I won't be returning) during my last oil change. Sure enough, the OEM plastic receiver cup cracked. They could've just kept it all to themselves and let me drive off, but they didn't. Instead, they immediately told me what happened, apologized, and replaced the broken cup with a better-quality metal one, completing the oil change in good time. I offered to pay for the upgraded part, but they wouldn't even consider it. Turns out, these are professionals to whom reputation still matters. The best part of my experience was driving away knowing that I've found the place I'll be taking my truck from now on, because I can always replace a broken part, but there's no substitute for honor, honesty,...
Read moreAfter calling, checking their prices, checking reviews i felt they could handle a transmission flush (they said they did them)I made reservation, and noted what i wanted done. When i got there and checked in immediately 2 guys started telling me this wasn't what i needed. But they would have the mechanic (Chris) ride with me to figure out the noise I was being troubled with. Chris heard the noise, but could not tell what it was. He suggested starting with the basic $30 (kindness) diagnostic.I have already had a diagnostic done, but if $30 could find the problem i would do that. Being that transmission flush is a routine maintenance I told Brad to go ahead with having that done, so Brad started the drain. I asked him if they indeed did a flush and he said "no, that can't be done on your vehicle." are you going to change the filter? Again "no that cannot be done in this vehicle" I'm not sure they should get a poor review or if I should for staying there and putting up with all of this. I was there for over 3 hrs, left TOTALLY frustrated and got absolutely nothing i requested, but got a bill for $255.( $150. for a diagnostic,) that according to Brad said the transmission needed to be checked-but it was"just a "routine maintenance " issue. He gave me...
