I'll start with the positives- it was located in a convenient location and parking was free. It was also mostly quiet but for the 11 pm fire alarm (not their fault) and the loud squeaky bathroom door and bed springs. How they are calling their rooms suites is beyond me. They aren't. We had a two queen "suite" where you walk into the bedroom and have to walk past the beds to the stairway that leads upstairs to a small living room that is open (loft) to the room below. Any sound is carried through the whole room, so while there are two TVs, good luck watching more than one program. The housekeeping is where they lost me. I was there for 3 nights. I requested housekeeping for the second and third days mostly because the two trash cans in the room hold approximately 1 pop can each. The first day, they completely ignored the request and didn't come. I stopped by the desk (again) to let them know when we would be out the next day so they could please stop by. Gave them a 4 hour window. When we got back exhausted and wanting to lay down 6 hours later, they were just cleaning the room. We asked they come back another time (they didn't) At least they took about half the trash out because it was starting to get desperate. So in the 3 night stay, we got 1/2 a cleaning. Let me also point out that the shower has mold, the shower floor tiles are slimy, the conditioner was completely out, and there are dust bunnies hanging in the air vent. Also the water comes out in a slow trickle but at least it's hot? The cherry on top was the breakfast situation. They clearly had more people eating than they could accommodate. 2 waffle irons going for 60 people at a time isn't cutting it. 3 options each day as a "hot breakfast"- some kind of egg, some kind of meat substance, and potatoes. Now, I can't help but see the irony that they never once had potatoes any of the 3 mornings we were there and it's IDAHO. I mean, aren't potatoes kinda a thing here? Apparently not. On the last morning, I asked if they would be bringing any out and was told rather rudely that they are cooking. So I waited. 45 minutes later, no potatoes. It's also worth noting that the orange juice has soured but they refused to replace it even after another guest brought it to their attention.

We had a terrible experience with the hotel staff *Camille* here. The faucet in the shower fell off and the ladies at front desk sent a maintenance person. They said if this can't be fixed, they have a room and will fix it. The maintenance person, Darius, went back and forth many times when we said we had to get ready for a scheduled event. He made a big mess of the floor. After nearly an hour fixed the faucet but refused to clean the mess, water and wet towels off the floor. He said house keeping was unavailable. I called the front desk and they said they can't clean the room either. They said they have no rooms, then they said they have one room but they won't switch it. After much discussion they send the maintainance person and he starts cleaning with a towel. I asked him if he has any cleaning products. He says he will go and bring them. I asked him to do so and to be back in 5 mins as I had to drop the kids at their event. I come back in 5 mins. He meets me in the hallway and tells me he cleaned the room. I asked him who gave him the permission to enter the room. He said I assumed you wanted me to and I entered the room. He then tells me there is a room available and the front desk called the other guests and cancelled and I should go and ask them. I am at the front desk to pick up cleaning products and they refuse to give me a container of chlorax and give me one single wipe and say it's against the company to give me the container of chlorax. And another front desk person, Opal, says Chlorax wipes are very expensive and she doesn't even buy for her home and she cares about the price of the product compared to hygiene of their hotel. Don't go to this awful hotel. Choose a respectful, clean place elsewhere.

I will start with the negative and end on a positive. This is our first trip to Boise. We made our reservation while in route to the destinations. At check-in we were met by two young desk attendants that smiled while seeming inconvenienced by our arrival. Granted, we were literally the only two individuals there. When we made our reservation in route, we were sent a confirmation email with the price we would have to pay upon arrival. My husband had just spent 11+ hours driving prior to arriving at the hotel and paying for our stay. It wasn’t until we were sitting at dinner that he realized we were charged over $40 more than the quoted price. When we returned to the hotel, my husband went downstairs and inquired about the additional charge. The 20 something-year-old attendant responded in a snarky tone “like we said at check-in we charge 20% more for incidentals “. While we recognize we had spent a lot of hours on the road and they very likely could have said something about this, the tone and the disrespect with which the information was relayed to my husband was unacceptable. I would highly recommend customer service training for the two young women tasked with making reservations and taking credit card payments. These two young women were our first impression of Boise and of the facility. Thankfully, our impression of Boise didn’t end with the negative experience with these two front desk attendants. We did find the people at Outback nearby to be engaging, respectful, and highly customer focused. The attendants we experienced could learn a great deal from the staff at Outback. Now the positive, our room was clean , the air conditioner worked well, the bed and the pillows were wonderful. We had a good nights sleep and enjoyed the remainder of our stay. Also, when we called to report a screen that was about to fall out of the window, the front desk attendant (Mike) was very kind and appreciative that we let them know...

I want to love the hotel because its spacious, in a decent location, it's been updated and most of the staff was friendly but there's too much I can't look past. There's been a pleasing update in most areas, however the overall cleanliness is LACKING and neglect of wear shows in the peeling wall paper, rust in showers, around door frames, deep staining on toilets, closet doors that won't open or close, stained/worn carpets, bath towels and furniture. The 1st room we stayed in smelled damp and of mildew, the carpets were visually stained and unbelievably filthy, a couple of the towels were stained. I used 10-15 lysol wipes (per room) to clean grime off the bathroom counter, door handles and bare floors in both rooms. If I hadn't been moved to another room and had the opportunity to test out a different space I would have left for another hotel. When I brought the issues to the attention of front desk staff I felt like one of the staff members were receptive and the other seemed offended (Bailey). Like I mentioned the rooms are spacious. The beds were very comfortable (on the firmer side), common areas seem cleaner than rooms. The trash cans in the room are really tiny and there is no counter space in the fridge/microwave area. In the 2nd room the beds and towels felt and smelled clean. The rest of the room appeared clean but most of the hard surfaces were smudged and felt like they had a residue. Upon cleaning those spaces I was grossed out by how much filth I had wiped up. If the room had just been cleaned I was horrified. We found it hard to relax knowing the space was not well kept. For upwards of $230 per night this was not the place for us. If you don't mind uncleanliness most of this will not bother you. The nicest part of the hotel was the women's restroom in the lobby. It was clean, large, and lovely. Breakfast wasn't anything memorable but the staff was friendly and at checkout the gentleman was courteous and...
