La Garnacha que Apapacha is a popular Nampa food truck located at 215 1st Ave. South, that is known for its Birria. Best known for their Birria tacos, they have lots of other menu items with Birria too. I had been wanting to try them for some time and finally got the chance last week. I ordered. 3 Birria tacos ($12) and 16 ounces of consommé ($2). While these are not my favorite Birria tacos, if you like Birria tacos, you should check them out. I liked how beautifully plated my to go box was, and all the wonderful fixin’s that came with it. I like how well run this food truck is. Even though I arrived in the middle of lunch rush, my food came out pretty quickly. This is the first time I’ve been given a side of grilled onions with my Birria tacos and they were delicious! I like that you have the option of buying as little as one Birria taco. I liked the generous meat portion in each taco, and how cheesy they were. I like that even though I had a 20+ minute drive back to my office, the tacos were still hot by the time I arrived. What I didn’t care for was care for the amount of cinnamon and/or cloves present in the meat, which gave it a slightly sweet flavor, rather than the complex, savory flavor that I prefer. But that is a matter of personal taste. These are by far some of the most popular Birria tacos in the Treasure Valley. I also did not like paying extra for 16 ounces of consommé, which was the smallest size. There’s also a 32 ounce option. Until now, every single Birria taco I have ever bought has come with a small portion consommé. I would rather pay more for each individual taco to cover the price of a small portion of consommé, than be required to buy it separately. In my opinion, a 16 ounce serving of consommé for Birria tacos is 3 to 4 times more than needed. I look forward to returning and trying their Mexico City style basket tacos, potatoes with chorizo, and Chocoflan. Recommended!

The truck is operated by a very friendly husband and wife team who clearly take both customer service and cooking very seriously. We drove 20+ minutes to try their food, so we take our tacos pretty seriously too ! I really enjoyed our lunch at this little food truck. My mission was to try the birria because I had read so much good about this truck. Mission accomplished! We ordered their birria in every way we could. tacos ,soup, and marucha The marucha- (I had no idea what this was and I learned this is basically ramen dish). The portion is HUGE. My husband will be eating this for a couple of days (without complaining). The consome - I was not sure what to do with it because it was sooo rich, so I used it for a baked potato topping later in the weekend. My spouse loved it. The birria tacos - LOADED with beef. and the toppings were fabulous. surprise, they had a daily special : Pork Belly taco - This was the winner for me. (probably because I just loved the verde sauce with lots of fresh cilantro) They are very generous with their high quality toppings. (This is really important to me. ) The cilantro was super fresh, the onions were fresh and the verde sauce was outstanding. They provide a very generous slice of lime; not those tiny little lime "fragments" or chips that I have been served elsewehere; Granacha gives you a generous wedge of lime! (thank you) I loved their red sauce, but beware I like spicy so if you are are a little shy on the spice levels you will disagree with me here. This truck is located in Nampa so the local Health District rules are observed (insofar as Covid is concerned) by both the business owners and their customers.

The Birrieria Burrito was absolutely delicious. The consomé was spot on and elevated the experience. My only gripe was the price. $12+ for the burrito and another $2 for the consomé. Not the truck you want to go to on a budget, but definitely the truck you want to go to for some delicious Birrieria in Nampa ID. I will be going back to explore the menu more. I really want to try the Birrieria Pizza but at $22 it just wasn’t on my menu this trip. Update: went back to BIRRIERIA Garnacha que apapacha. This time I needed to try the Birrieria Torta. This sandwich was amazing! Packed with meat. Crusted with cheese. Dripping from juices. I enjoyed every bite! The Green Salsa is sooooo good, do not leave without getting some. And it was super refreshing to find a place in Idaho that actually has a Spicey Red Salsa (one container of red salsa was not as hot as the other, but the one that was spicey was VERY spicey)

I follow this guy on Tik Tok who's goal was to try tacos from all 50 states. Garnacha Que Apapacha was on his list. He tired it and gave them a high score. My friend also highly recommend this joint so of course we had to try it out today. Who doesn't want birria tacos on Valentines day?

I remember when this venue opened up back in the early 2K. It's been several different restaurants and it's cool that this joint is filling this space. Walking in it's very colorful and fun. You got music going, people eating and chatting. It has a pretty cool and chilll vibe.

I usually order one quesabirria taco and a smaller street taco. It's more than enough for me. Unfortunately this joint doesn't have the smaller tacos so I got two quesabirria tacos. And of course I needed the bottle of Mexican Coca Cola to go with my tacos. They have quite a few Jarrito options. That will be a must for my next visit.

I headed to the salsa bar and grabbed some green salsa. You can also grab your utensils, napkins and water there as well. Everything was nicely placed and organized.

Our buzzers went off to grab our goodies and boy, they looked so good on the tray! The consomé was pipping hot in the container. The tacos were golden with charred bits of cheese. There was fresh cilantro, lime and onion that you can add to your taco. Everything looked fresh!

I squeezed a good amount of lime onto the taco. Added the onion and cilantro. I needed the whole experience. Dipped that baby into the consomé. Wooooooowwww. It was so good! The cheese pull was fantastic. The meat was tender. The lime added such a nice freshness to the taco. The consomé was salty and added a nice addition to the taco. It was absolutely delicious! I was only able to finish one. They are loaded with birria. I didn't end up using any of the green salsa. Everything was so flavorful that it didn't need the extra sauce.

If you're looking for a hella good quesabirria taco, Garnacha Que Apapacha is the joint you need to hit up! You won't be...

THESE GUYS ARE NOT PLAYING! We are from out of town and just decided to grab some food while our Tesla was charging at a nearby hotel. I am a taco truck LOVER and these guys DO NOT MESS AROUND !!!! I have to say I never write reviews but this food is something else I just had to so anyone who thought about stopping by would end their search, cancel their reservations, show up a little late to the dance recital, whatever it takes you HAVE to try these guys out ! They are the real deal! It is a clean, nice, up to date place that gives you confidence that you won’t be searching for the bathroom on your night out. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful setting me up with 3 quesabirrias and through in some extra birria and red and green salsa. I tipped 25% which was only like $3.25 and I honestly feel bad that I didn’t at least give them $7 because I haven’t been this overly satisfied and stoked about a kicka* meal in years ! When my food was ready the woman that handed it to me said “be careful with the red salsa” with a friendly smile. I was curious if she meant don’t let it pop open in the bag or what ? Oh I tell you what I found out what she meant real quick. She meant be careful with that red salsa ! Hahaha I started with the green salsa some fresh cilantro and diced onions, OH MY LORDD the flavor BLEW ME AWAY ! Then next the fateful moment I found out the mystery of the red salsa… I put a fair amount on squeezed some lime and went for it. Tick tick BOOM this red hot delicious nectar from hellfire hit me. OH BOY OH MAN OH JESUS OH YEAH! It was a SPICY MOFO but I couldn’t stop it was just soooo good !!! After I pounded my food and a good 3 minute sweat session I walked to my car and couldn’t believe how KICKA* that last 8 minutes was my life was. So here I am and if you have gotten this far. Do it, go, run, MAKE IT HAPPEN!! Go love this place just as much as I did ! And P.S don’t forget to tip ;) THESE GUYS...
