I follow this guy on Tik Tok who's goal was to try tacos from all 50 states. Garnacha Que Apapacha was on his list. He tired it and gave them a high score. My friend also highly recommend this joint so of course we had to try it out today. Who doesn't want birria tacos on Valentines day?
I remember when this venue opened up back in the early 2K. It's been several different restaurants and it's cool that this joint is filling this space. Walking in it's very colorful and fun. You got music going, people eating and chatting. It has a pretty cool and chilll vibe.
I usually order one quesabirria taco and a smaller street taco. It's more than enough for me. Unfortunately this joint doesn't have the smaller tacos so I got two quesabirria tacos. And of course I needed the bottle of Mexican Coca Cola to go with my tacos. They have quite a few Jarrito options. That will be a must for my next visit.
I headed to the salsa bar and grabbed some green salsa. You can also grab your utensils, napkins and water there as well. Everything was nicely placed and organized.
Our buzzers went off to grab our goodies and boy, they looked so good on the tray! The consomƩ was pipping hot in the container. The tacos were golden with charred bits of cheese. There was fresh cilantro, lime and onion that you can add to your taco. Everything looked fresh!
I squeezed a good amount of lime onto the taco. Added the onion and cilantro. I needed the whole experience. Dipped that baby into the consomƩ. Wooooooowwww. It was so good! The cheese pull was fantastic. The meat was tender. The lime added such a nice freshness to the taco. The consomƩ was salty and added a nice addition to the taco. It was absolutely delicious! I was only able to finish one. They are loaded with birria. I didn't end up using any of the green salsa. Everything was so flavorful that it didn't need the extra sauce.
If you're looking for a hella good quesabirria taco, Garnacha Que Apapacha is the joint you need to hit up! You won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHESE GUYS ARE NOT PLAYING! We are from out of town and just decided to grab some food while our Tesla was charging at a nearby hotel. I am a taco truck LOVER and these guys DO NOT MESS AROUND !!!! I have to say I never write reviews but this food is something else I just had to so anyone who thought about stopping by would end their search, cancel their reservations, show up a little late to the dance recital, whatever it takes you HAVE to try these guys out ! They are the real deal! It is a clean, nice, up to date place that gives you confidence that you wonāt be searching for the bathroom on your night out. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful setting me up with 3 quesabirrias and through in some extra birria and red and green salsa. I tipped 25% which was only like $3.25 and I honestly feel bad that I didnāt at least give them $7 because I havenāt been this overly satisfied and stoked about a kicka* meal in years ! When my food was ready the woman that handed it to me said ābe careful with the red salsaā with a friendly smile. I was curious if she meant donāt let it pop open in the bag or what ? Oh I tell you what I found out what she meant real quick. She meant be careful with that red salsa ! Hahaha I started with the green salsa some fresh cilantro and diced onions, OH MY LORDD the flavor BLEW ME AWAY ! Then next the fateful moment I found out the mystery of the red salsa⦠I put a fair amount on squeezed some lime and went for it. Tick tick BOOM this red hot delicious nectar from hellfire hit me. OH BOY OH MAN OH JESUS OH YEAH! It was a SPICY MOFO but I couldnāt stop it was just soooo good !!! After I pounded my food and a good 3 minute sweat session I walked to my car and couldnāt believe how KICKA* that last 8 minutes was my life was. So here I am and if you have gotten this far.    Read moreLa Garnacha que Apapacha is a popular Nampa food truck located at 215 1st Ave. South, that is known for its Birria. Best known for their Birria tacos, they have lots of other menu items with Birria too. I had been wanting to try them for some time and finally got the chance last week. I ordered. 3 Birria tacos ($12) and 16 ounces of consommé ($2).
ļæ¼While these are not my favorite Birria tacos, if you like Birria tacos, you should check them out. ļæ¼ I liked how beautifully plated my to go box was, and all the wonderful fixļæ¼inās that came with it. ļæ¼ I like how well run this food truck is. Even though I arrived in the middle of lunch rush, my food came out pretty quickly. This is the first time Iāve been given a side of grilled onions with my Birria tacos and they were delicious! I like that you have the option of buying as little as one Birļæ¼ria taco. I liked the generous ļæ¼meat portion in each taco, and how cheesy they were. ļæ¼ I like that even though I had a 20+ minute drive back to my office, the tacos were still hot by the time I arrived.
What I didnāt care for was ļæ¼care for the amount of cinnamon and/or cloves present in the meat, which gave it a slightly sweet flavor, rather than the complex, savory flavor that I prefer. But that is a matter of personal taste. These are by far some of the most popular Birria tacos in the Treasure Valleyļæ¼.
I also did not like paying extra for 16 ounces of consommĆ©, which was the smallest size. Thereās also a 32 ounce option. Until now, every single Birria taco I have ever bought has come with a smaļæ¼ll portion consommĆ©. I would rather pay more for each individual taco to cover the price of a small portion of consommĆ©, than be required to buy it separately. In my opinion, a 16 ounce serving of consommĆ© for Birria tacos is 3 to 4 times more than needed.ļæ¼
I look forward to returning and trying their Mexico City style basket tacosļæ¼, potatoes with chorizo, and...
