Visiting this restaurant, situated in a prime location next to Edwards Theater and the encompassing IMAX, offers a blend of dining and entertainment options that make for an interesting experience. Its proximity to these entertainment hubs means you can easily plan a full evening out, starting with a meal and perhaps ending with a movie or an IMAX feature. The restaurant itself boasts a gaming area, providing a unique twist to the dining experience. This section, however, often appears vacant, with a separate dining space that seems underutilized.
Upon entering, you'll notice that the décor, particularly in the bathroom areas, feels somewhat outdated, yet everything remains functional. It's a slight drawback in an otherwise modern establishment. A peculiar policy restricts access to the main dining area, complete with booths, during lunch hours. Instead, patrons are directed to the bar area, which seems to be the standard practice from Monday through Friday at lunchtime. It's unclear if this changes during dinner hours, as I have yet to visit during the evening rush.
The kitchen's cleanliness is immediately apparent, reflecting well on the establishment's hygiene standards. The food consistently impresses, with a particular nod to the finger steaks and an array of sides including tater tots, fries, and onion rings. The Idaho cheese sticks are a standout, accompanied by a trio of dipping sauces - marinara, ranch, and an intriguing berry option, possibly raspberry, adding a delightful twist to a classic appetizer.
Parking is never an issue, with ample spaces available, underscoring the convenience of its Cole Road location. The staff exude friendliness, enhancing the overall dining experience and contributing to the welcoming atmosphere of the establishment.
The ambiance is akin to a sports pub, bolstered by an impressive array of televisions - around 30 screens, including a large one above a fireplace. This area, regrettably, is off-limits during lunch. The focus on sports broadcasts and the extensive selection of about 20 different tap beers cater well to sports enthusiasts and beer aficionados alike.
In summary, this restaurant presents a good mix of quality food, strategic location, and an engaging atmosphere, albeit with some areas for improvement. The quirky policy regarding seating arrangements during lunch and the dated aspects of the decor slightly mar an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. However, the clean kitchen, exceptional service, and overall vibe of the establishment suggest a venue well worth visiting. Whether you're looking for a casual meal out or a spot to catch the latest game, this restaurant offers a...
Read moreVERDICT: A pleasant comeback. Get the French Dip Philly Style with chili lime fries.
FOOD: I am extremely pleased to report this place drastically improved in all categories. I believe the menu changed, at least (to my knowledge) to include a French Dip Philly Style and to include chili lime fries. With the quality improvement came smaller portions, which I appreciate as more mediocre food isn't as good as smaller, well-made portions (which is the case here).
SERVICE: Good enough to not really present any issues. Honestly, the waitress was kind and helpful and skipped trying to smooth over poor service with flirting or excuses. Instead, our orders were smooth, our food arrived quickly, and our drinks stayed full.
ATMOSPHERE: Still a sports bar, but thankfully, Legends improved here as we could hear each other without shouting our whole meal. As an added bonus and why we went here, there's a pool table that's $0.75 per game and inexpensive taps.
5 YEARS AGO as of the writing of this review: In rating this location, I will say I have eaten here multiple times and each time is underwhelming. The food itself was decent in quality and flavor and competitively priced, but a league behind the some equivalents. The atmosphere is true to the form of sports bar in that it's loud, chaotic, and waitresses are flirtatious and slow at refilling your drinks. (Honestly, I'd rather have the quickly filled drinks.) I'm not saying this is a bad restaurant on it's own merit (thus 3 stars, instead of 1), just mediocre. If you want the pub food and experience to really knock it out of the park,...
Read more1st timers. 5 of us came in today for lunch & brews. We had the edamame/w/Sriracha appetizer. The edamame app was good but they scribbled only a few lines of the Sriracha sauce on the plate. It definitely lacked more "sauce"
I had the chicken Teriyaki bowl. I like the veggie mix ins but I couldn't even taste the Teriyaki. Maybe they forgot to put it on? Either way, I ordered a small cup of it and it was pretty good. My portion was small though. Also I only had 4 strips of Chicken on it. If I had to guess I'd say it was a half portion of chicken. The chicken was quite dry but I still ate the plate. The place was quite dead & the server was MIA. I seen maybe 3 tables total.. I counted a total of 5 people there (before our 2 friends showed.) Our server gave us our drinks & we didn't see her again for 20 mins. We were wanting to order an app while we waited for our 2 other guests to walk in. Also my Sister and drank her beer and sat dry for the duration I finally had to go find her. She was behind the hostess stand playing on her phone. I was standing in front of her but she didn't even see me. I had to excuse myself to get her attention. I requested our app then sat back down. ☹ After that she seemed to be more on point. She took our orders and asked if we wanted refills.. I appreciate that she got "back into the game" Maybe she just had a emergency. Stuff happens! We would definitely come again. Overall everyone at our table really enjoyed...
