TERRIBLE... Been there since Dec was evicted for a complaint about my vicious Shih-Tzu today. To start with I receive approval for Direct TV to install a dish for cable TV. In their advertisement they list FREE WIFI, which HAS NOT WORKED IN OVER 2 YEARS.... I had to purchase Hughes net. internet service, dish installed next to the Direct TV dish on polls. In late January Cathy the Manager was riding around informing the residence that tower one and two were not working for the free WIFI. I informed her I had the Hughes Net dish in the back and was that ok. "OH YES" that is fine, no problem and even took down the name of the internet service I was using. Well Feb 1 my Shih-Tzu was on a long leash and I was outside, I did not expect her to run and snip at the ankle as a lady who has paranoid issues passed by.. She picks up her dog every time she walks by any RV that have dogs outside. Cathy called which was my second complaint Feb 1, 2017 about my dogs . The first was I had a kennel gate for my two small dogs. That is against the rules if you are not outside to have you dogs in the kennel or if the kennel is empty. Well after both complaints and the threat of eviction if one more complaint is filed. I made sure I was always outside with my dogs, and if I saw people alone or with other dogs, I would grab their leashes and hold them tight to me off & away from sidewalk. The kennel gate is folded, dog leases are up off the ground . Well in the middle of February Cathy told me I had to remove the two dishes and relocate on the concrete pad. I expressed displeasure about the cost to re-install. "OH MS. H" I am sorry it was my fault I should not have NOT given you permission. I had the Direct TV Tech out the next day to relocate in a very inconvenient place their dish, yesterday paid 100.00 for the new stand for the Hughes net dish. Plus new installation of 125.00 for Hughes net and $45.00 for Direct TV. This morning I receive a call that she, Cathy received another complaint about my dogs. I asked her what complaint and who, because I had been controlling my dogs. and only letting them out three times a day, each time with them and controlling them if and when anyone walked by I made sure they were not near or by people or the sidewalk. My Dogs at this point in time are not barking, or pulling on their leases now that they are adjusted to their new location. Cathy brought up the Feb 1 issue about my vicious dogs and the safety of the other residence. Now other residences have gotten to know my dogs and me. And there has been no other issues with my dogs. So Cathy suggested I move my 43 ft 5th wheeler to the front of the RV Park out side by the dog run. I told her NO, it will cost me money to move the two dishes again and I have to hire someone to move my rig. Cathy's harassment is unacceptable and unwarranted. she refused to provide owners contact, provided contact for GM. I left a request to call me back with the GM. Shortly after my call to the GM Cathy, brought me a written notice of eviction for March first. I will mention I had already paid my rent for March, which she said she will refund. Well in looking at Texas law she has to give me 60 days to move. I am going to contact an attorney for the cost that incurred for the two dishes and now to have my rig moved. I need to mention I am handicapped so I CAN'T WALK MY DOGS. It is too bad the MANAGEMENT IS UNPROFESSIONAL. I think she is forcing me to relocate so they can move one of the 4 Tiny Houses they just purchased to rent @ 1,666.00 a month to that spot. After all one of the houses is right behind the garbage dump and I have lake side view. If you going to stay a night or two you might be ok, DON'T plan permanent stay. I am paying for a climate controlled unit with the same company and that will be moved too. GOOD GOING CATHY CLOSE TO A $1,000.00 a month...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur initial experiences have been great. We sought this place out because we are looking for a place to stay long term. Neither of us have stayed in a place like this before and we didn't know what to expect. We checked out mobile home parks and most of them ended up looking scruffy if they weren't exclusively for seniors (which we don't qualify for). We are both in our 40's and work from home so we want a place that is comfy, safe, has amenities and where we can work without issues. This place seems to fit the bill perfectly. We are just selling our large home in a large master planned community, so we are giving up a lot, but we don't feel like we are missing out because this place really has a lot to offer. We are excited about having a place to walk, hangout with friends and swim when it's hot. I haven't had neighbors this close by in awhile but the ladies at the front desk were very accommodating in trying to help us find the right spot so we would feel at home and even have a nice view of the lake (we do plan on staying here for a long time). We are always greeted in a super friendly manner and we have been given many opportunities to tour the grounds and make sure we are getting what we want. We tend to research things a lot before diving in and everyone has given us plenty of opportunity to check things out and feel good about our decision. I love the fact that this place is gated and that they even have a propane service. This is a really nice plus. I hear what folks are saying about young children not being allowed as long term residents (I myself come from a large family and am not anti-kiddos)... It's my understanding that they are allowed for the short-term but there are some obvious reasons they may not want small children there all the time; such as safety concerns around large rigs and lots and lots of vehicles. No real 'play areas'. It's mostly concrete pads and the other areas would REQUIRE adult supervision, such as the lake, pools, etc. I realize not everyone's parenting style is the same and at the expense of painting with a broad brush I believe the resort would have a lot more liability issues with a lot of small children living there full-time. (They do allow children older than elementary school age). I think the other side of the coin is that the people actually paying the bills and trying to work are more than likely the majority in this situation. Folks who are looking for an alternative living situation and who are going to dramatically change their lifestyles to live in a mobile-way are often not bringing a budding family along. Most are retired or past the child rearing years. Most are looking for quiet and a place to relax, if we are being honest, not the two words often associated with small children. (No offense intended.) If I were a parent of little ones I probably would not find this spot the best choice of places to let them play outside on their own. Now, as for a visit to grandma and grandpa for the weekend, this place would be amazing! Again, the resort is great and the two women who have helped me in the office are sweet and have great energy. I look forward to staying here as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will try to keep this as short as possible⦠I stayed there 5 months, WORST park Iāve ever been for the price. Nice, big showers and a nice pool and hot tub... only thing nice to say. āFree wifiā maybe worked 2 weeks while I was there⦠āDirect tvā they provide was fuzzy and poor quality⦠The ācomputer roomā consist of two crappy desktops, one was super old. The āexercise roomā is just a treadmill, an elliptical, and a hula-hoop... The ādog park and wash stationā is an almost grassless area, with construction debris scattered about that is surrounded by a fence that is over a foot off the ground in some area that our dog could easily go under. The wash station is just a hose⦠The ālaundry facilityā was descent until attendants washed very muddy clothes, causing mud to get all inside the washers. The managers in the office would not do anything about it when I brought it to their attention. My clothes would come out the washer with mud on them⦠āAdult only parkā is just plain dishonesty, ALWAYS kids there. Vehicles speed very dangerously through the park, the office is aware and do nothing about it. When I say speed, I mean obviously floor it! Constant power surges (very bad for your rv) and water outages. The Houston traffic does not ādisappearā The park is right off the highway and it is VERY noisy. Majority of the trees on the park map provided on their website do not exist. the few that are in the park are about 4ft tall palm trees that provide no shade. Construction of the park was rushed with poor foundation causing the concrete to sink and crack creating huge sinkholes that flood when in rains. Some so deep that cars would not drive through them. They do not enforce any rules and provide little to no customer service. All they care about is taking your money. Their āAmenities,ā rules, and entire website is a lie.
