La Chula Paletas & Ice Cream — Attraction in Kenner

This is the first time I was honestly disappointed with La Chula. Typically I recommend everyone to try them but tonight I did not like my order and was not crazy about the service. Maybe they were having an off night but it's usually lovely and very kind girls inside. I received an overdone waffle bowl and the ore Gelato and topping I chose had absorbed whatever other flavors it was surrounding so it tasted odd. I tried to love it but maybe I should have asked for a different bowl and ordered flavors I usually get. I also tried to order in spanish, although my spanish is terrible but I have been encouraging myself to try more. Unfortunately, another worker came out and finished my order in complete English even after I originally said I was practicing my spanish. I get it, they do not owe me anything, and if I'm slowing down the line then fine, but it was a little bit of a slap in the face considering how polite and nervous I was. First bad experience here out of several good ones, so I don't plan on ending on a sour note. For nearly $15, I should have went elsewhere and probably still will because I did not finish...

I came to this shop because I was doing Uber eats. The staff as well as the customers at the time were Mexican. When I walked in. ALL eyes were on me as If I had intentions on harming someone. The staff was cold shouldered no great customer service at all. I picked up two orders at the time and one of the workers tried giving me two bags with no names. When I asked if names could be written on the bag so I could differentiate both orders. One of the workers instantly spoke in Spanish and the other employee laughed. This is the most RACIST place I’ve ever been to.
