HORRIBLE âźď¸âźď¸âźď¸Do not go to the salon by any means theyâre gonna waste your time and money. The stylist was two hours late, but I wasnât even mad at her because she was very nice. It was more so my problem with the business owner because the stylist wasnât told that she had an appointment And then when I got home and I saw my hair it didnât look or feel right so I reached out to the owner and asked him to fix the situation and it took him forever to get back to me at that point. I was already frustrated because I had been spending all of my time worrying about Hair that I was supposed to love for an event in which I cried, because I hated how I looked. These things can be easily fixed, but he was choosing to ignore me. My my phone calls were going straight to voicemail and he was taking forever to respond. At that point I was fed up and I asked for a partial refund because I didnât even wanna bother going in to get it fixed anymore. He then texted me and told me how aggressive and rude I was when in fact, I was nothing but nice and kind even given the situation and how frustrated I was. Iâm not a confrontational person, especially when it comes to. Services like hair and nails. It was so offensive that I just did didnât want any service from them anymore and I told him he made me uncomfortable I just wanted at least a partial refund Because I didnât feel comfortable going back into the salon, whether the stylist did it right or not these things can be fixed but when youâre coming at the customer, especially a customer that was nothing but kind in spite of not getting 100% serviced is very rude and disgusting, and I had every right to feel uncomfortable going back in there. He then called me and asked me to confront the stylist in which I told him. I didnât have a problem with the stylist because I knew that it can be fixed. And at that point I already went to someone and paid half of what I paid them to fix it Which wasnât fair. I asked them if they can give me at least what I had to pay to get it fixed and he told me that he needed me to speak to the stylist and it was very uncomfortable and I told him that I didnât want to do that. She was nice to me and she explained, but again I told her that it was in my issue with her. It was my issue with how he managed his business and Customers. He then texted me and told me he can give me a $30 credit which was a slap in the face, especially given the fact that I donât even live in Miami And all the extra money I had to spend to get it fixed. Unprofessional wrong and on top of all of that he was mad at the fact that I wrote a bad review so donât go here. Itâs not the stylist itâs the owner. Shame on you for wasting my time and money and for giving me a...
Read moreTotal joke. Look at how the owner responds to negative reviews. Ridiculous.
My first thought when I walked into the salon was "Dirty." Chairs are dirty, walls are dirty, storage racks are dirty. Is this a professional business or a basement? Stylists jump from unwashed heads to washed heads without washing their hands in between--this is a no-no if you just finished with someone who did NOT book a wash. Plain nasty.
Seems like they can't keep a receptionist for long. The lack of communication is insane. Some of the stylists depend on the receptionist to tell them if they have appointments, and vice versa. We live in the 21st century; surely there are apps that can help everyone get on the same page. The receptionist clearly has not been trained for the salon's SOP; when she is out for a break, NO ONE addresses incoming clients. I saw a new client come in and wait almost 20 minutes and no one even looked in her direction.
The stylist was very rough on my hair--she ripped so much of my hair at the root. It appears that although they themselves are black, they lack the patience to do black hair.
Now for the straw that broke the camel's back: their add-on prices/fees are completely arbitrary. The website has misleading information and does not specify that people with smaller locs will get charged an extra $25, as was in my case. Who knows how much they charge clients with very long locs or very thick hair?! Apparently the admins can see the correct pricing including add-ons, but not customers.
They also don't specify what they consider as a "hairstyle." A simple ponytail counts as a hairstyle, unlike other places I've been to. They just throw the extra charges on you once you're done, and then lie about telling you beforehand. I even know someone who said a stylist tried to charge them more EVEN though they did not get a hairstyle. This is false advertising. I paid a total of $135.50 for a wash, retwist, and ponytail "style, which is $85 according to your site. I want my $25.50 deposit AND the extra $25 back. If I don't get my $50.50, I will report this salon for false advertising and file a consumer complaint with the county and state.
My hair looks nice, but the experience was not worth it. I'm very tired of these mediocre, unprofessional, entitled stylists in the SoFlo area. I give up. I'm going to do my own hair...
Read moreMy experience was PHENOMENAL. Aire was my stylist and the sweetest person. She took her time throughout the entire process to ensure the styling was done right. When getting your hair braided, it can be difficult to meet stylists that care about their clientâs comfort. I never worried about the quality of work Aire delivered due to her consideration. I didnât even look in the mirror until my hair was done COMPLETELY. I had that much trust in her talent. Her hands are blessed! In theory that sounds nut, especially when braiding with intentional designs but I had that much faith. Honestly.
I truly couldnât speak enough about my hair after the process was done. I recovered endless compliments from strangers, family, and friends. Her knowledge and true born talent of hair styling made the experience even more rewarding. Our conversations were memorable and for that, Iâm even more grateful!
The other staff at the salon were just as respectful and talented. I arrived on Motherâs Day and booked my appt the day before. I was hesitant prior to my appt. because I was visiting from out of town from Atlanta. The trip to Miami was impromptu! Searching for a salon or Braider that weekend on a time crunch was difficult. I canât explain my relief when I found this salon. My relief was compounded after my servicing.
I highly HIGHLY recommend to book your appt in advance. Yes, walk ins are available but many of the stylists have a line of clients waiting. If you are a walk-in, please be patient with the stylists as they work. Theyâre veryyyyy intentional about their work so being mindful of their energy and time is helpful. The stylists take time to be considerate of their clients so I advise you share the same sentiment of the stylists. Do research on the hair you need prior to the appt. time too! Fitz (the owner I believe) was kind enough to run to the store to get additional hair I needed. He did NOT have to do that especially so early in the morning but I was very grateful!!
Overall my experience was 1010/10. I will definitely be back when I visit Miami again. I canât thank you all enough for your work,...
