Exclusive private beaches and very quiet as far as popularity when asking if people have heard of miramar beach which is a 6mile strip between destin and san destin that is primarily privately owned residential and seasonal vacation rentals of multimillion dollar homes and townhouses. No crime is ever heard of throughout the year and during off season (9 months of the year) its a private paradise of the cleanest and well kept nightly combed privately owned white beaches of the emerald coast gulf of mexico waters. The sugary sand extends several hundred feet from shore, lending to the emerald green and indigo-tinted bands under the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The south-eastern view of the beach from Edgewater is phenomenal.

Walking along this portion of the beach coastline is interesting because the shoreline isn’t a perfect, straight line, as some beaches are portrayed to be. At the water’s edge, the slope of this beach is also steep. Parents, accompany your kids. At times, the water is calm enough to be considered kid-friendly.

The temperature of the pools and ocean water are still brisk. Here’s the trick: JUST JUMP IN! Once you’re in the water, flailing around for your life, or just to give the muscles a quick warm-up to effectively force your heart to pump some extra blood down towards the extrems to help keep you warm. We had a beachfront condo rental during the Fourth of July week, and we couldn't have made a better decision to stay here! It made for easy access to and from the house for food and drinks as well as bringing beach equipment out.

Of all the beaches I've been to in the lower 48, Miramar Beach had the whitest sand and clearest, blue water!

And despite going at the busiest time of year, it never felt too overcrowded at all. We only had to set up a beach canopy and chairs at sunrise to claim our waterfront spot, which probably isn't an issue for the rest of the year.
