I have had a very sad experience of the place. First, we travel all the way there to see a dog. And we got very exited about her, we were the first ones to see her and after waiting for four days and calling about two times. Nobody notified us that the dog was already foster in. I asked what was the criteria not to choose us, she said it was a good fit for the dog. Then someone called yesterday and left a message at my husband's phone and said that the lady from the home that supposed to be a good fit, brought the dog back, We got the message today, because my husband was driving and could not answer, but when we called today she was already sent to rescue to Miami. Oh my god I am sorry to say that there was no interest of this girl for us to have a dog at home. I am not sure. What was her criteria to disqualify us from adopting the dog in the first place, but apparently what she chooses was not a not the right fit? And the dog now is at rescue instead of being with a loving family. It is so sad these days how people do not do their jobs or have good attitude. I am still looking for a dog, but I doubt I will be qualified for any dogs...
Read moreLiterally terrible people and service, went to owner surrender (due to living circumstances) and after calling the Nassau humane society which said they would be able to take him. Went to get directions and it took me to the Yulee location. When I arrived it was barely 15 minutes after they had closed and the woman that opened the door had the worst attitude and disrespectful tone towards me and my boyfriend. Told us that there was no way she was going to take the dog and that there was no way that we had called them. She was rolling her eyes and did not care about the animal whatsoever. Amazing customer service from the animal services of Yulee. You guys are the worst and I 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE TO ADOPT LET ALONE ANIMAL SURRENDER.if anything go to the humane society in fernandina it’s worth it if you care about your animal or the one your...

NEVER take that effort for granted! They do the best they can with what they have and still come out on top making it happen! GO GET YOUR DOG FROM NASSAU COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL, your will not regret it! Better yet, go volunteer and...
