I have always loved going to Aldi's and was raised going there, but it is sad that one experience can ruin a lifetime of experiences. Our shopping experience was pleasant, we were bummed that some things were out and not stocked but we give the benefit of doubt due to going the last hour before closing time. Sadly though that is the least of my concerns and not what ruined our experience. Our cashier Elise was an extremely negative and sour event during our trip to Aldi's. I strongly recommend that the store reconsiders her employment. I watched and she didn't just treat us the way she did, but treated mostly everybody the same pathetic way. She had no respect for our groceries. She was just dumping everything out on the roller belt and then just pushing it into the cart beside her as she was checking us out. We had everything neat, organized and boxed up to make it easier not only on us but even more importantly the cashier to make their life a little easier while checking us out. It was also the longest and slowest checkout I have ever had while at Aldi's. I have always been impressed how fast and good their cashiers have been up until this point. She let all of our softer foods, fruits and vegetables put into the bottom of the cart and then carry on to literally bury it by all of the canned foods we were getting as well. As I saw what she was doing I tried to start taking the more fragile items out of the cart as she was scanning but then asked me to stop doing that, so I respected her wish, but shouldn't have since she lacked the common decency with our groceries. I am very patient and slow to getting upset but I have never been bothered as much about such a stupid incident. I had to wait a couple days before writing a review to calm down and not let this all be about emotions. I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart to any other Aldi shoppers watch out for this cashier Elise. If I ever come back to shop at Aldi's and see her as the only cashier I will just turn around and walk out; even if I wasted my time shopping and getting everything we need only to see her at the end, either Aldi's will get another cashier out there to help me or they are losing a customer that day. It is truly sad about this, because Aldi's has always been our favorite store to shop at and we always spend the most their compared to any other location. I would go out of my way to get things that we really don't need just to support Aldi's more until this point in time. I am sorry Aldi for the negative review but to preserve your name and protect other customers I hope this helps...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn short, this is one of the nicest Aldi stores in which I've ever visited! Decent selection of essential groceries for a great price, clean, friendly, and efficient.
In detail, I love their selection of processed (boxed, canned, jarred, etc.) foods since I have an extremely hectic life. Their take & bake pizza is huge, loaded with toppings, and bakes up nicely. I can feed 4 people with this pizza for around $2.25 per person (or one growing teenager for $7). Their potato chips are just as good as name brand but way cheaper! And, their 7-up cake and triple chocolate cake are both favorites where I work! Occasionally, I'll by some healthy fruits and fresh meats there too š!
The store itself is immaculate compared to grocery stores I've been to in other parts of the country. I've been to other stores that had stuff all over the floors with shelves so half stocked and chaotic to the point that I felt like I was in the shoe section of a discount department store. This Aldi here in Yulee, Florida is the complete opposite. It just looks so clean and neat as soon as you walk in the door! It should be a benchmark for other Aldi's to follow!
Last but certainly not least, the employees are super friendly and helpful, at least every time I've ever been. I enjoy this...

I purchased a non-perishable item at Aldiās in Yulee, Florida that went on sale the next day. A few days later, I attempted to return the unused item, with the receipt, in the unopened box. I was told by the assistant manager that Aldiās refunds the sale price, not the original price. I asked to speak the manager, I was refused. When I wouldnāt leave, the manager appeared and repeated the policy. She stated that she just had verified the policy with the district manager. I filed a written complaint with Aldi's customer service, (no phone number). I was assured that this is not Aldiās policy. In fact, itās illegal. Apparently, the assistant manager, store manager and the district manager don't know the return policy, never mind the law.
This was my first and last Aldiās experience. In the future, I will take my business to Walmart. At least Walmart has a...
