HORRIBLE!! I went to exercise 10/01/20. I asked the new manager, of only a few days, named Arron Roach about my fiancƩ's (he cancelled his membership) refund and mine since we were we promised 3x to be refunded. Months later.......still no refund. I explained one day I was harassed by planet fitness (PF) staff for my mask accidently coming down just past my nose one time. The staff keep circling me for over an hour, like sharks, trying catch me w/ my mask down again. Since it was extremely uncomfortable, I made management aware that was discrimination and harassment since staff were not asking other members to pull up their masks. At that moment we counted five (PF) members with their masks completely not covering their nose and mouth (one person being right next to me the whole hour staff were circling just me). These members they never once approached were all Caucasian. I am of a different nationality. Paul manager apologized profusely and promised me a refund and said staff members should not have just singled me out and that it was not PF policy to do that. Today Arron Roach rudely told me, "Well I am the manager now and I suggest you should join in the class action law suit against PF to get your refunds (members are trying to start one) have a good day". I said please do not condescendly tell me to have a good day which is very unprofessional. He preceded to argue. I said please just drop it since I just want to exercise. He said you are NOT going anywhere and get out of PF before I call 911. He smiled and said I gave Planet Fitness a two week notice already because customers like you complaining about their refunds so I DO NOT CARE what happens. I said I have a membership. He said I am manager and I am cancelling it right NOW!! I asked to speak to corporate and he proceeded to call the police on me. He told the police on the phone I was calm but he asked me to leave and I wont. I heard him talking to management on the phone and lying about the whole incident and said he saw notes on the computer that I harassed staff members. I never harassed anyone. I am the one that brought harassment to their attention. Arron Roach manager cancelled my membership out of retaliation of me complaining about PF harassment. I will be calling the franchise. I have most of this incident recorded on my phone which other members who witnessed the incident told me to post it on youtube and go to media. You are NOT safe there if they retaliate against for making them aware of discrimination and staff harassment against planet fitness members. Plus they are stealing members money by not refunding and continuing to charge...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is one of the most middle of the road reviews I could write, but I still want to write it, because this location has so many good AND bad reviews, and I can see why! Itās both. Nice staff but needs improvement.
-Multiple lockers in Menās Room had bent padlock holes so not lockable. Order replacement parts and Iām sure this could be fixed easily.
-Whoever is reading the reviews on Google Maps here is clearly not doing their job, because they keep directing people to club management?! Excuse me, you are part of club management, deal with it. Forward it to who you need to. Thatās YOUR job, not the customerās.
-New equipment is nice! Older PF I could do most of a workout, but having strong legs the leg equipment I usually couldnāt choose a high enough weight. Now, I can do leg day at PF! (Just naturally crazy strong legs, not bodybuilding or anything.)
-Staff was SO FRIENDLY. I saw them cleaning the main club constantly.
-I didnāt see any sign they checked the black card spa rooms between users, or sanitized them. The newer location I visit does this AND has cleaning supplies in the room. This location doesnāt have paper towel or sanitizer in the room, they have one shared for all rooms. If you want your customer to clean, instead of you AT LEAST put the supplies IN THE ROOM.
-I appreciate as someone who uses an app to direct my workout instead of running a circuit that they got rid of the 30 min circuit for more shared equipment. The circuits seemed new user friendly, but they also seemed underutilized compared to the rest of the club. BUT, I donāt love that it doesnāt feel like they left the equipment laid out for people who wanted to keep doing that. The brand new location I am visiting has a group of machines that have a sticker on them (maybe it says total body workout? I think?) that makes it clear what group of equipment it is, if you wanted to keep doing the 30 min workout. That would be really nice for the person who reviewed here that they had the elimination of it.
Overall, this is a nice club, staff wise, but they clearly got new equipment, pivoted, but havenāt really retrained their staff to current standards, or really thought out the new layout well, rather than just putting new equipment in where it fits.
One weekend of deep cleaning, training, replacing a few locker pieces, and rearranging the strength training equipment to feel more intentional rather than random from replacing just some stuff, would...

They change managers every 3 months, which should tell you something. But I went in and I was duscussing a billing issue that has occured with my account since I've been going there. For whatever reason my routing number on my account was constantly having issues going through. She was so condescending and patronizing about the situation. I kept trying to explain something to her and she kept talking over me and saying the same thing over and over. I told her she was not listening to what I was saying and she kept saying "yes I am" then she'd just repeat the same thing she'd been saying over again. At this time I was becoming very frustrated and she tells me that you don't have to get frustrated and I told her yes I do because you're NOT listening to me. At this point this guy who works there comes prancing up and decides to butt in our conversation and he had no prior knowledge of anything we had been discussing which just made the situation worse. I am probably old enough to be her father and I work in the medical field and if I ever treated a patient the way this young lady "manages" and spoke to me then someone would be fired. I've been going there for almost 2 years and I have never seen a manager act like that. Needless to say I told her to cancel my membership and now it is my personal mission to tell anyone I can about how horrible my experience at this planet fitness was! I have never written a review like this before but I had too. The one good thing is the knowledge that in 3 months she wont be there anymore and a new manager will take her place.
