I am a current resident here at Sapphire . I have been here for 3 months and I wish I would have never moved here. It looks nice from the outside but the patchwork, lack of parking, the disrepect from the staff, maintenance issues and loud neighbors. I am am sick of this place already. My complaints were unheard and ignored by the property management team when I complained about the lack of parking and unassigned residents parking. Everyday my vehicle is blocked in by other residents or their guest. Residents do not have assigned spaces usless we pay $25 dollars for a carport that is about 100ft from their apartment depending on how your building is positioned. The closer parking spaces to residents buildings are 1st come 1st served. That's unfair to the paying resident's to be blocked by visitors taking those unmarked parking spaces that is closer for people to unload kids and groceries. Then we have people at all times of the day blocking others from pulling out of the drive way especially in the back of the complex. They double park and park on the grass. It is so ghetto in certain parts of the complex because management does not keep track of what's going on in the community because they are afraid of Covid 19 and required to work from home. I was told to call the tow truck company myself because management can't be here 24 hrs a day. I feel if I am being requested to do their jobs to make my ability to leave my apartment much more easier then I need to be paid to be a parking attendant or some deductions need to come off my rent. The second unheard and ignored complaint is that my neighbors above me stomps, slamming dresser drawers, yells and screams at her husband or when she is on the phone. This happens all day long until she goes to work at 10:30pm. Then she comes home around 7-7:30am she starts stomping, slamming drawers and talking loud. I have spoke with both the neighbors and management but my complaints again go unheard of they have excuses stating that I knew what I was signing up for when I moved on the 1st floor. I request a idea of putting more padding in their apartment to help with the noises and they refused to do anything except threatened me with eviction if I continue to complain or bother them. I am not at peace in my own home where I now live, school and work. Also I have a disabled son that is home schooling due to covid 19 and we can't even work, let alone hear our phone calls when we conduct business or school. This is unacceptable. Next, my stove broke yesterday I put in a work order but no one has responded. The maintenance guys are busy painting the sidewalks today. So I guess I will be without a stove over the weekend. Lol, this is crazy I never lived in a place like this one. This is not one that I would recommend to anyone that wants what they pay for. This is my last apartment. I will be looking into hiring an attorney for Breach of contract after notifing the apartment management and corporate of my complaints. Still to this day to be ignored and threatened to be evicted for noncompliance when they never ask me to comply with anything except to not bother them with my complaints or concerns. Beware!!!! don't let the looks and the nice front that they put on when you come to tour this community they only want your money and to fill the many empty apartments that are open. Oh, and if you move here you better put surveillance in your apartment because maintenance will come in your apartment with a bogus work order and after they get caught entering your dwelling they will claim that you put in a work order and will continue to come in without permission. But now I have a real work order and no one has showed up. Now, isn't that funny. If anyone want to see my documented video experience I will be starting a youtube channel soon. Please keep a look out for Si'Dres Rental Experience at Sapphire of WinterPark Apartments. I will also be posting on IG and Facebook. No one should have to put up with this when you pay your rent every month for the enjoyment and...
Read morePersonally I wouldnât recommend this place but to each is own. Iâm very disappointed because Iâm reading some of these reviews and how they rave about the office and management but why canât they totally be honest about the apartments they rent. Why not tell potential tenants before renting about the water bill especially when you ask questions on average how much it will cost. I learned the hard way when i was trusting an office staff answering my questions. We havenât even used any type of shower, toilet, dishwasher etc because we havenât moved in the apartment during time but received a water bill for a couple of days. I reached out to their third party billing company and come to find out water bills our based on the building your in and the usage of all the people divided by the number of residence in your apartment. Therefore we are paying a bill based off other people but when I asked before moving Paris fell to answer my question correctly. Next we will be paying $15 a month for trash do you really see these pictures. I see other occupants have complained and posted pictures and this is not even valet trash. We havenât moved in yet we get a community notice talking about porch inspection but all they want is patio furniture and plants on the patio but you keep the trash compactor looking a mess which there is only one in the whole community which is distance from our unit. On top of that when I asked if we bought one of the bins apartment use to put valet trash I was told we would be charged $25-30 dollars. This property is a rip off. We did a walk through of our apartment not even moved in yet and had multiple issues and maintenance request. It took two maintenance requests for the water heater to be replaced because it was leaking. I donât know how long itâs been leaking and for all I know there could be mold under the plank floors. Thatâs a health hazard, any recommendations on how to test for mold? We had a maintenance request for the dryer not getting hot. We walked into our apartment twice seeing water coming up through the kitchen sink. We were told by another residence the prior tenant had the same issues. This tells you maintenance and the property manager havenât resolved the issue. We havenât even lived out the promotion and wanted to leave this apartment. We would have e to pay over $3000 for the promotion charges because we havenât lived here a year. They wouldnât dare tell us this when showing the apartment and going over the promotion before leasing. They know people would really way their options. We would still have to give a 60 day notice and pay rent. We had to roach bomb an empty apartment because we seen roaches. I canât deal with the low toilet seats due to health reasons. All of this in just leasing a little over 30 days but actually residing in the apartment partially in the last two weeks. God knows if I have known all of this prior I would have never rented and wasted both the property and company time along with our time and money. This is so unfair on every level so if I can help or open people eyes to be more mindful to rent from here and if you do go view an apartment please check everything or as much you can before deciding to rent. A quick smile, bubbly personality doesnât necessarily have your best interest when showing because soon as you put in multiple work orders and complaints their attitude change Paris and the property manager. Good luck to all future tenants. I hope your unit and experience is...
Read moreI moved in July 2023. Since I moved in there has been issues starting when I signed my lease. I was told I can come by after 5 to get my keys and sign my lease. I arrive around 5:30 and Iâm told that it will be an about 10-15 minutes because the cleaners were still there. Well an hour and a half later I finally get to see my apartment. Well to my surprise it was a 2/1 when I applied and was approved for a 2/2 but since it was around 7pm there was nothing they could do until the next day when I was set to move. Saturday comes around and I am told there is an apartment available but itâs not cleaned and maintenance wasnât there. I had to have my electricity started before I moved it but since it was Friday night when I found out it was the wrong apartment I couldnât call Duke to disconnect it until Monday. So I had to pay Duke $50 for connection and 3 days that I didnât live there. I waited a few days and signed a new lease with an assigned parking spot I pid for. Well I went to park there and there is already a car in that parking spot. I was able to speak to the people and they told me that they were assigned that spot, so I went to the office and was assigned a new spot. I didnât mind paying for the spot because it was in front of my building and safer with an autistic child instead of walking far at night. Well 4 months later I come out to a sticker on my car that I am parked in an unauthorized spot. I called the office and was told that they sold it and it looked like I was assigned my original spot in the computer. I explained what happened and told them I was assigned the new number, then they told me I wasnât being charged, which isnât my problem because I signed the documentation and I never got any correspondence from the office and I never sent them anything saying I didnât want the parking. So then the office tells me I can have a new parking spot a few spaces down from the one I originally had. Well it looked like that one was assigned also even though it wasnât in their computer. So I am out a parking spot that Iâve been in for 4 months because of their issue. Instead of fixing the problem and telling the people they sold my spot to the same thing they told me. Sorry it was my mistake this one was already assigned, I lose my spot for their error. I talked to the property manager and she said she was going to look into it but I didnât hear anything back so I called the office again and all they said was there was nothing they could do.
Also, it says that one of the amenities is a gym. Well Iâve been here for 4 months and Iâm still unable to use it. When I first moved in I was told it was closed for remodeling. Once it opened up I called the office and asked if I could get the key fob to get in the gym. The person in the leasing office told me that they were back ordered and would let us know when they have some.
There has also been a lot of unleashed dogs. A few have approached my dog while on his leash and it almost turned into a dog fight. The owners didnât seem to care to come and get their dogs. Another time a dog almost bit my dog while my daughter was walking our dog.
If this wasnât in my daughters school zone I would not...
