Phil, the owner, is a genuinely warm and accommodating person. He treats everyone who walks through the door with respect, regardless of age, gender, skill level, or fandom.
They stock a variety or games for a number of play styles. Competitive or cooperative, deck building or roleplaying, chance or skill, miniatures or meeples, casual or hardcore, for the kids, family, or just the adults. Even a few choices from local designers.
Many of these games are available to try out in the store, and if he doesn't have the one you're looking for on hand, he'll do his best to get it for you, typically within a few days, and potentially as soon as the next morning.
Refreshments are available for a nominal fee, and the shop features a private room customers can rent for meetings, study groups, or gaming, if so desired. The room normally features a single, sturdy table, roughly 4'x8', but custom configurations can be requested.
